Not really. Blizz want me to stay subbed(which I am continuously), they dont care about my /played. Thats a difference.

So by your rule, everyone who plays video games has a crappy life or else they would be out enjoying life?

    That's common sense

To you raiding is about 'overcoming challenges" but you aren't everyone and the sooner you worry about yourself and not what everyone is doing the happier you'll be, and I imagine the less pointless comments will be left.

Plus the amount of time you play doesn't make any difference to blizzard, they want your monthly subs be it because you raid 5 hours a night on heroic or 5 hours a week in LFR, you're worth the same to them at the end of the month.

Mashing buttons and killing monsters is fun, learning stupid tactics and listening to some jackass in Ventrillo all day isn't. Therefor: LFR is good.

Heard about doing various different things?

When you have a lot of things to do that you enjoy, you have to split up the time you have available.

Heroic modes? Never bothered, seen the content already.

Cata and LFR came to the table - golden era of casual play begun. Convenience above all and everything. Best thing that happened to my gameplay in wow. I could raid whenever I wanted and leave whenever I wanted.
Now Im asking myself how could I ever play in guild with schedule raid times, I was actually wasting my time back then, raiding 16 hours a week in tbc. Just to experience and kill last boss.

Now I invest much less time and get the same goal. And still subbed. Its all about TIME, finally I can play the game less and get same goals.

    Thanks to Blizzard for LFD/LFR.
    ......

I killed Illidan but didn't make it to Sunwell either. We raided 7 hours a week at most, usually less than that. We killed Lich King with around 6-7 hours a week and Deathwing before max buff was in effect with about 4 hours a week raid time. Where do people get 16 hours a week raid time requirements? And TRUST me...I did NOT lead a cutting edge min/max top tier raider team. Not with a mage who didn't upgrade to Tier 10 until he had 4/4 and a DK who eventually "punished" us for wiping by taking a drink/shot for each one.

Ironically, I'm in the different boat. Due to others quitting for RL reasons, I haven't been able to raid this expansion. LFR is.....boring as all hell.

I don't get how anyone finds it interesting or engaging with how simplified it is. I've been in top 5 DPS while reading the forums during boss fights. Don't get me wrong, the concept is fine, but it just seems so heavily tuned down that it's boring as hell.

I'll use LFR to see Garrosh come down, but I'm debating for the first time just letting the sub lapse after seeing it once. There's not much of interest in running easy mode week after week.

For those who enjoy it, kudos to ya and glad you're enjoying the new feature. Maybe I can get into flex raiding and go that route instead.

challenging myself and my guild, while also having fun with some cool people i interact with daily is fun. people who deliberately ignore easy mechanics in LFR and cause repeated wipes, especially on a fight my guild can one shot on heroic isn't.

i can make one-sided claims based solely on my experiences too!

LFR working as intended. Shut up about it.

If you are satisfied with mediocrity (or lower standards than average) then that's cool and I can respect that.

For me, I wouldn't ever play this game if it wasn't for heroic raiding.

Different guild progress at different speeds. Just because you killed Illidan raiding 6-7 hours/week, that does not mean everyone was in that boat. Heck, a majority of raiding guilds in TBC never even got to see Illidan. Most were stuck in T4.

But also insist they need epics and legendary access from LFR.

I was shouting from the roof tops in TBC I would like an easy mode for content/story view that rewarded NO LOOT. That's how much I was wanting a Lore Mode of raids just to see the story; I wanted to do the entire thing with NO REWARD. And that was STILL with raiding and getting to see Illidan properly myself.

It was supposedly to see content, but it's not anymore. It's a separate progression path that essentially weakens the motivation of doing the other versions for many. And yeah, that's possibly epeen, but let's not kid ourselves that LFR is "to see stuff and how the story plays out."

When did you becomes the "average standard" by which all the players of WoW are based on?

Yeah, but the fact that a pretty relaxed group taking 8 hours a week should sort of refute that raiding "required" 16 hours a week of dedication.

Except I've never seen a single instance of anyone ever insisting on this. Hell, I've never even seen anyone ask for it.

just making a point. there are pros to cons to everything. just because you had a bad experience raiding with a guild with "some jackass" yelling doesn't mean that's raiding with a guild in a nutshell.

likewise, what i said is incredibly one sided, as people like you and many others have the convenience of experiencing the content and getting loot without committing to a set time and date every week or so. or people who want to gear alts, etc. it has its benefits, i was just being a jackass to get my point across :P

So tank and spank clusterfucks aren't raiding eh - guess a majority of my raiding in classic wasn't 'raiding'.
