Oh, it'll be funny. BEWARE ARROGANT MORTAL FOOLS, SEE MY TRUE POWER! And then he shifts to a whelp, looks at his own body, makes -derp- face and flies away.
LF something funny to place here.
English isn't my native, sorry for possible mistakes
Keep in mind here we are talking the years that passed Lore wise, not release dates
He hatched shortly before events that happen in the dragon soul raid.
The First landfall on Pandaria was Roughly a year after deathwing's fall.
The Pandaria Campaign was about 3 months later.
The Thunder King Campaign started a few months later, which is when Anduin and Wrathion talk and when the age comes up.
So its been about 2 years from the hatching to this quote
Two in Dragon year doesn't mean dragon years are LONGER, but that Dragons mature faster then humans do.Anduin Wrynn says: Are you lecturing me? You're what - two years old?
Wrathion says: Two in DRAGON years. It is your move.
Also it was Wrathion making a Joke about that fact.

I was evil when I was 2 years old too...then I grew in an awesome sexbeast.
"I don't honestly understand what everyone is talking about with there being less abilities in the game. There are less abilities than before yes"
Well a dog hits full maturity around the age of 2.5-3, when looking at humans that's around the age 16-18. Every year past the dog maturity year, they have a steeply increasing chance to get illnesses (Cancer, Tumors), for a human that point is around 60-70 years, for dogs it varies, from 5 to 10 years. So basically what they did is make a graph that connects those points, and found the median to determine the actual (health) age of the dog.
Skip to about 1:20 for the actual conversation. There is no joking going on in that conversation. In fact, Anduin is making fun of Wrathion for questioning his ability to lead the alliance after his father by making fun of him being 2 years old, to which he replies in a somewhat irritated manner that he is 2 in DRAGON years, which indicates that a dragon year is much longer than a human year.
He would make a pretty poor raid boss based solely on the fact he still uses a cute dragon whelp model :P
I dunno, the only way i can see it is that kinda like in Watchmen, you need a worldwide threat to stop infighting. But after living through 2 of them in the last 2 expansions (and vanilla if you count might of kalimdor), it's pretty clear once we unite against any worldy threat that we then go back to killing each other.
To Catch a Thief
Which takes place after The Egg Lives On added in cata
Which is the end of a long chain where you purify a black dragon egg. HIS egg!
Seriously please read up on the existing lore of Wrathion, a good place to start would be Wowpedia's Wrathion article
The real problem is the way blizzard wrote the line, it should have been "In your years but not in dragon years."

Not yet, he said he'll stop at nothing to prepare Azeroth for the coming conflict so perhaps he'll do something drastic.
so he hatched some point between "Proving Your Worth" and the end of "To Catch a Thief"Wrathion says: That's right, mortal. The prize you seek no longer sleeps within a shell. Here I am: in the flesh.

Wrathion cannot be a "filler raid" boss. A filler raid would have a random non-lore significant character.
