So, what is this HXC all about?
We're a 10 man raiding guild based on Chamber of Aspects, who began our journey together back in ICC and raided through most of Cataclysm, going on hiatus since the start of T13. Mists of Pandaria saw us come back reformed, refreshed, and ready to kick some serious raid boss butt.
Our aim is to keep a light but extremely focused schedule, to strain our skills in order to reach as much content as we can with a fairly casual schedule; quality over quantity. Raid times are Wednesday and Monday 20:30 - 23:30 and Sunday 19:30 - 22:30 (all server time). With this schedule we've managed to reach 11/13 heroic in Throne of Thunder so far – looking forward to more kills soon!
Uh-uh. What can the guild offer me as an aspiring raider then?
A welcoming and relaxed atmosphere – while we take raiding seriously, we love to have a laugh while at it too. Both our social and raiding members are very active and friendly, so there's always something to do even outside of raids.
We have a very progression minded attitude: we want to see how far we can push ourselves to reach the highest possible content without taking a toll on real life commitments. To best reward our people and keep gearing balanced, we use the system of loot council; we treat loot as a tool to reach further, not as the goal.
Right – and what do you expect of applicants?
To know your class inside and out, to have the ability or at least the willingness to play whichever spec may be required by the content we're tackling, and to always aim to improve your skills. We want you to take raiding as seriously as we do, which means preparing for fights, turning up on time and having the proper mindset. Right now it also means we expect you to be geared for the content we're going for, i.e. ready to step straight into heroic progression.
We want you to become a part of the team – mingle and communicate (we use Mumble for voice chat), offer knowledge and help where you can, have a sense of humour and always keep in mind the best of the group (not just your own WoL rankings).
