I hope im posting this in the right section. Lately my FPS has been dropping hard. So much so that im now playing on low settings.

Do you have any tips for me?

I miss seeing further than 15 ft.

Clear any unneccesary addons, programs and just defragmentate your computer - keep it up to speed.
This also includes getting the dust of most components inside the case.

I have an older video card. Following an online forum tip, I switched my video driver setting from DirectX11 to DirectX9 and went from <15 FPS on Low to >30 FPS on High. Night and day.

That's odd, DX11 is a performance gain on my card, guess the mid range first generation DX11 cards might fare better on DX9 though. Did you upgrade your graphics drivers?
