File sorting Windows 7

I feel stupid to ask this, but how do I order files and folders differently. What I mean is this: in my pictures folder, I have many different sub folders which contain picture files of their own. Now what I wanna do is sort said sub folders by date modified and it's content by name is that possible?

Atm when I set the sorting for my pictures folder, it auto applies for it's sub folders too. How do I stop that?

change the view from folders (icons) to details and then you can sort by date modified

I can already do that, it's just that whatever sorting I apply to the main folder, all it's sub folders auto adapt to it as well, I want them to have 2 different sortings. If that makes any sense lol
