Cartel Coins - Account wide or character specific?

I've been searching high and low for an answer to this and I have just not had ANY luck. So, I know Cartel Coins are added to an account BUT here is what I am wondering. If i have 1k of them, and spend 200 on one character and then create a new character.. will I still have 1k or will I be down to 800 on the new character? I just can't seem to find an answer ANYWHERE to this, I know that people know but I don't being a new player that has just started playing TOR yesterday :P

You'll be down to 800, there bound to your account, not your character.
