Roll Broken?

Currently in ToT im unable to roll. The game says "You cant do that right now." Works perfectly fine if I use Chi Torpedo instead, but as BM Id much rather have Xuen, and my non-heal roll minus a couple fights. Anyone else having this problem currently or run into in the past?
