"Attempting to Reconnect" Desync Lag Issue

Over the past few days I've been playing League and one game out of the blue I'll just get the most horrendous lag, where everything just de-syncs. The characters move around, but the nameplates disappear and actions don't go through, everything pretty much freezes and I can't do anything but pray. Then everything catches up between 10-25 seconds later and I'm usually dead.

Now this wouldn't be an issue for me if it happened once...and only once. But today it happened three times, and twice it made me throw the game and lose horribly. I feel like it's not my internet provider (even though I just have basic Comcast, yuck) because sometimes I see other people post about it but nothing too recent about it. Does this happen to anybody else? If not how would I fix it?

Are you in the US servers? Cause I've been having that same problem recently. :/

Interesting. So how does one acquire that VPN service or whatever he's using?
