The bat riders cannot carry large, heavy plague tanks, only a limited stock of small bombs. Sure they may come in swarms and the bombs would be very volatile, but then again they would be shot down by Alliance air forces before they could provide any significant damage.

People seem to overestimate Sylvanas and the Forsaken as a war force. Sure, she has the val'kyr, but there's no way in hell she would ever again bring them to the front lines after the Andorhal incident, less they would get decimated above everything else as the Alliance troops would mark them as primary targets. Plus the human corpses (keep in mind the val'kyr cannot raise any other than humans) would be burned by their fellow troops, rendering them useless for reanimation.

So, no. She could not be able to conquer the whole of EK (the Horde would be very unlikely to support her), where the Alliance military force is far more powerful than hers.

What the hell are you talking about. Airborne toxins = spreads through air.

My bad, I thought you meant delivering the plague via air force, but my point still stands.

Wind can take theese airborne stuff in the other direction. Trying to plague something far away will fail inevitably.

Walls can stop the plague wagons going in and soaking the place up with goop. Try to plague stormwind from outside of its walls will not be very effective. Try to bomb it will also fail, since stormwind has basically a flying aircraft-carrier.

Sylvanas would have to deal with all the dwarven clans, Stormwind, gnomes, Gilnean survivors, and any rebel faction groups spread throughout the Eastern Kingdoms. The dwarves alone could crush her.

Eventually, I think so. Currently? No chance.

A lot of people seem to just assume that she'll use the same tactics she used around the North. Not a good assumption, in my opinion. I think the reason we haven't seen much of her lately is because she's licking her wounds, updating her battle strategy, and strengthening her forces.

I think it's eventually possible, but it may be farther than a decade game time before it could occur feasibly, with any kind of success. Unfortunately, I think she'll also be one of Blizzard's new targets before that comes to pass, we shall see. I also believe that if she does become a Blizzard target, whatever is beneath Western Tirisfal is what pushes her to "raid boss" status.

Which, realistically, they should have conquered by now. After winning the fight for Andorhal the Forsaken pretty much control the transition points between Western Plaguelands and Hillsbrad, which makes Alterac surrounded by them on all sides. Strahnbrand and Upplands don't even have any quests after Cata, just some random Syndicate mobs. Alterac also has no quests and is occupied by some Ogres.

It's been over two years in game since the Forsaken initial conquest portrayed in Cataclysm. They took no part in any offensive in Either Cataclysm or Mists other than sending some singular officers or a token force at best. Logically, Sylvanas spent that time by strengthening her grip over Lordaeron. The forces holding Alterac are nothing. And neither are Alliance forces in Arathi. Refugee Pointe is a hole in the ground that is immensely vulnerable to "roll plague tanks and pour the plague down on human heads" tactic.

However, Dwarves and Humans did fight on multiple fronts all over Azeroth in that time. Their forces are diminished and exhausted. I'm not saying Sylvanas has the power to seize entire Eastern Kingdoms. But she does have the power to capture most of Lordaeron. The only reason Arathi and Alterac are not Forsaken territory yet is because Blizzard totally ignored her since Cata. She could also capture Caer Darrow (for some reason I can't picture Argent Crusaders drooling over the idea of taking Scholomance for themselves). And then Hitnerlands would be trapped and fall eventually. And she really should blow the remaining bridge of the Thandol Span sky high. There's nothing that would prevent her from reaching that goal on her side of it. And even though she could potentially capture parts of Wetlands, it would be safer for her to just sever the connection between Lordaeron and rest of the Eastern Kingdoms.

All Wrathgate showed was the Forsaken betraying the Alliance and the Horde and plaguing them from behind. That would not work if they tried to march onto Stormwind. Sylvanas can't even beat the 7th legion and a ragtag group of worgen, what makes you think she would stand a chance against the entire might of the Alliance?
Except she did beat the 7th legion forces aiding the worgen. She did force the Gilneas Liberation Front into submission. And Bloodfang's Worgen took another hit in Hillsbrad.

And where are these Alliance spies hiding? In the tainted forests of Tirisfal Glades? In the toxic sewers of Undercity? And what can they eat there? Plagued maggots? Sorry, but I find the idea of Alliance spies anywhere near Undercity to be very implausible.

Plus if they even TRY doing that, The argent crusade will be all up in their lands before they know it.
Crowley's daughter or not, she forced Gilneas Liberation Front to submit which left only Bloodfang's worgen keeping her from conquering Gilneas again.

And yes, Argent Crusade has a longstanding history of interference in the international politics of the main factions. I totally see your point.

I really don't think Sylvanas would care about other races banning the plague should she decide to take on the Eastern Kingdoms. Because she already doesn't care.

They are dedicated to keep undead in check? Since when? They waged their war against Arthas for personal reasons. Not because he was an evil bastard. They are evil bastards themselves. Not because he raised undead. So did they. They were against Arthas because he used them as cannon fodder to draw Fordring out of hiding.

The Knights of the Ebon Blade used the tactics of the Scourge and of the Forsaken in their campaign. They even compared themselves to the Forsaken a few times. Why would they give a shit about Sylvanas plaguing people the death knights don't care about or resurrecting them? They would have done the same were they ever fighting anyone again. They came with the idea of Shadowmourne, their take at Frostmourne, did they not? And in the case Sylvanas lost, when they'd be the last undead Faction, what would stop them from thinking "When will they come for us?". Or thinking that preemptively, before she lost.

And they have never shown necromantic capabilities on the scale of the Val'kyr. They were quite successful at freeing individual undead from Lich King's grasp, but the Forsaken already have free will.

You forgot that they couldn't contain a spider infestation in Cata, and if memory serves me right, some Gnoll force right on their doorstep? And I have no idea what prevents Fordring from being liquefied if he gets hit with a plague bomb. Being a paladin didn't seem to help Bolvar that much.

Probably not, its just not feasible for just the Forsaken to win a large scale war against the Alliances power base, Humans and Dwarves.

I don't think any race can defeat the mighty dwarfs in battle.
They will just stand far far in the back with their battle tanks/steam tanks, and when they are getting near they just open fire, Enough tanks/cannons they can use to destroy the enemy without even losing 1 single men.

Dwarfs are stronger then they seem like.

Say a decade has passed since the events of Cata and Sylvanas has had time to build a massive Forsaken army with the aid of her Val'kyr's.
Deciding her Forsaken need more living space combined with her hatred for the Alliance she decide's it's time to launch an all out assault.
During this time she has also been able to obtain "ballistic plague missiles" or bombs with the aid of Goblin technology.
Her first move is to launch several of these plague missiles/bombs into the heart of Stormwind and Ironforge, which ends up killing countless citizen's in both cities.
After this her Forsaken army begins to march south from the Trisfall Glades out to first conquer Ironforge and then Stormwind.
Also everyone slaughtered by the Forsaken is then resurrected by the Val'kyr as a new recruit of Sylvanas's army.

Would the Alliance be able to recover from such a devastating attack and emerge victorious or would they be doomed as the Eastern Kingdom's fall under complete control by Sylvanas and her Forsaken?
they couldnt even fucking take gilneas in the midst of a civil war right after over half the population turning into wolf monsters. how the fuck is she supposed to conquer the eastern kingdoms?

i think she would care when she get surrounded on all fronts with no allies to call for backup. One has to realize that the only form of allied forces she has on EK is the bloodelves, and even they dont like the Forsaken that much. Had the treaty talks between Varian / bloodelves gone well its not too far fetched to think that The forsaken would have been removed.

(ofcourse speculation & would've been helps no one and would never go through due to gameplay) she's not some superpower like the Lich king was, and i doubt they will make her into one.

If I were sylvanas advisor, I'd suggest conquering northrend instead. No faction resides there anymore, the scourge is not eliminated by sure, sylvanas can deal with that. There are still many natives there, vyrkul and zuldark trolls for example that she could raise and the only resistance I'd imagine will be in grizzly hills where the alliance is probably consuming last resources such as trees. And of course the dragon aspects . Of course, who the hell know what goes on there anymore. Dalaran is in dustwallow marsh in the current events.
Then again, why would she attack the alliance at all? She doesn't hold any grudge whatsoever to the alliance, and I think she'd rather conquer silvermoon instead.

If the Forsaken actually marched on something and commit to attacking it I think their forward fortifications would end up decimated under the shadow of The Skyfire or Dalaran or both.

The notion that they could hold the land around Ironforge long enough to starve the dwarves out is flatly stupid. Ironforge was made from the ground up to be a stronghold. You think they never thought that someday they would have to hole up in there and defend themselves for an extended period of time? That's literally what the purpose of the structure is. It's also a fantasy spellcasting staple that food and drink can easily be magically produced. I can believe that the population of Westfall could stave but Ironforge? They have enough trained magicians that there is no chance of that.
