Actually, I love the idea of this thread. He's making a point that people act like morons when they see any decline in WoW subscription count, and immediately doomsay the game and then suggest other games which have half a dozen million less subscriptions and are apparently "alive."

I'm tired of mmo champ posting the sub count. If people wanted to know, they have a way of finding it themselves. But it's nothing but detrimental to the game when the largest WoW fansite posts the numbers because a large portion of their viewers don't understand how to correctly interpret what those numbers actually mean. Thus, it lowers the moral of the morons who jump on the doomsay bandwagon and leave the game.

My suggestion: Stop posting the freaking sub counts on the front page of the website, MMO. Good or bad. Let the viewers who actually know what that information means and WANT to find it, find it on their own. If WoW truly is "dying," then most certainly you're not helping anyone by adding fuel to that fire.

(This was my post in another thread that got closed due to there already being multiple threads on the subject, and it was closed before I got to hit reply so I'm posting it here. The OP basically agreed with this OP and said it in a much more sarcastic way, some guy responded, and this is my response to that response, and tbh, I think it still applies in this thread, anyway.)

Personally, I think they expect the game to level out somewhere, at some point, and then be stable with small fluctuations.

Yes, I get tired of it. It's the same people as you said, usually that crawley guy with the pirate avatar jumps on pretty quick.

Ive said it before, Its the players of the game that are killing it. Were getting more impatient by every day in game and right now everyone is so tired of spending time even trying that we rather just do something else than play wow.

Somehow I feel this is connected to players getting worse by every day aswell. Pugging now a days isnt doable at all. I mean our raid in LFR Couldnt even kill Garalon for christ sake.

Myself I only play the game to raid with my best buds (were acctualy alot that are still playing together and enjoy it). Other than that im never online.

Even tho Blizzard have made some minor mistakes in my opinion, (everyone makes mistakes) noone of them has had such a major effect that it ruined the whole game.
But noone can stay on the top for ever, WoW have had its run for a while and its now time for it to start fade away

There is around 37,000 characters on Stormrage (US) and usually a 1500 person queue on Tuesdays... I could careless about losses or gains as my server is abundant with people.

Welcome to the Circle jerk fest known as MMO-Champion.

And this new recent trend of taking moral superiority on the transmog helms, Which i have contributed too myself. So I fan the flames but hey...assholes will be assholes

You can try to pinpoint the reasons for sub losses all you want, try to blame development, etc. The game is in a better place, but the biggest thing going against it is time. WoW is old. It can be the best game ever but people get tired of everything at some point. It can simply be hard to justify playing a game any longer when you've been going for years and years.

Can we have a list of typical excuses too?

    - Asian players
    - Old age
    - <insert number here> is still a lot!
    - More than current MMOs!

and so on, and so forth

I get tired of hearing the same excuses every time, too. It goes both ways.

Oh, definitely! My OP is on neither side. I mention those against and for WoW/Blizzard. Consider those 4 added

Well, you know what they say; It takes one to know one!! =)

Most doom'n'gloom threads are quite immature. This thread was more just a fun way to get out all the reasons the
trolls complain in one big giant list with audience participation. The only way this thread could possibly be immature
would be posts insulting the audience of said thread.

Like I said, it takes one to know one. If you care to claim we are all so immature, you must include yourself in that statement. *kisses*

This list is awesome to say the least. Looking at it again I can't help but we missed out on some of the reasons keep pissing and moaning.

    "Mages" > lol

I have to admit that there are still things wrong though. I wish my professions were more important than they currently are. I mean most people take alchemy and engineering at expansion opening to they can get easy ilvl boosts and after that everything really just becomes a static stat buff.

The people who willingly follow every whim of Blizzards are the ones who are at fault. The ones who question their crap logic or decisions are the ones that want the game to continue on and get better.

Thing is a lot of these issues people keep talking about aren't being addressed by Blizzard ( ones they can actually do anything about). They may be the reason of the sub loss or not, they're still not doing anything about most of these, which is why people keep telling them the same thing over and over.
