    Best Voice Programs (Raiding Edition)

I've seen a few of these before. But what I am looking for is the best available based on real use (not supposed use or "I heard" use). And real world tests based on quality, features, and stability.

TeamSpeak for me is the far better option.

It has a lot nicer features then Ventrilo, it has a much nicer G.U.I. and generally has a lot more security features and options I can enable, to ensure I can assign moderators, or moderate the entire server.

I also find TeamSpeak to be better quality, have nicer sound effects, and is cheaper to host in most cases.

I have only used Mumble and Vent. Out of the two, Mumble is far superior in all aspects. So that was my vote.

I completely agree with this aspect. One small setup in the beginning and boom, good to go. One thing that I love about mumble compared to vent is that all of the users generally have around the same dB level compared to vent where I am constantly having to adjust the volume of everybody

I used to think Vent was really good but after using Mumble and TS3 I find them far superior.

TS3 is easy to use and has good sound quality, also easy to turn people up and down and has an easy to use ui.

Every Mumble server I've been on has much clearer sound, and it automatically normalises everyone so you don't have to constantly tab out to turn people up and down, which I like.

I haven't used any thing other than these 3 but for me Mumble pulls ahead of TS slightly. I never want to use vent again.

Skype and Razer Comms shouldn't be listed for raiding, because they're P2P. Don't know about Dolby Axon, but the other four run on dedicated servers, which is more or less mandatory for a proper raiding VoIP. Personally prefer mumble, having tested all listed except Axon and raid call. It's light weight, runs on lower ping and has so much customisability. Ventrilo is outdated garbage, TS is good as well.

We currently use Mumble - it's excellent and gets my vote.

TS is nearly as good; I just found it a bit too "heavyweight" in comparison to Mumble.

I thought Vent was okay, but less responsive than Mumble, and having to adjust everyone else's volume was really annoying.

I tried RaidCall once and thought it was all-round awful.

Skype - that's not raiding comms, really!

Out of programs I've tried so far would rate: TS2 < Vent < TS3 < Mumble

Not commenting on RaidCall sound quality because it has always been too flaky to get running properly when we've tried.
Never going to log into this garbage forum again as long as calling obvious troll obvious troll is the easiest way to get banned.
    Trolling should be.

I've used Mumble, Vent and TeamSpeak, and so far Mumble is my preference. TS was pretty good as well. I think in order of popularity Vent is still the king, despite not being as good.

By "raiding on Skype" you must just mean talking to one or two friends and not your entire 10 or 25 player raid.

Quality + open source = Mumble. Second would be TeamSpeak3. I tried registering for RaidCall once but something happened/noticed during that proces that made me consider it absolute garbage, just can't remember what.

usually at least 5 of us, but we don't require voice comms for raiding so not everyone joins.

I've used TS, Vent and Mumble and out of the 3 imo Mumble sounds the clearest, most true to your voice and has extremely minimal lag. I've talked with someone on Vent and then on the phone and they sound totally different. On Mumble they sounded the same as they did on the phone.
