    Its called classic shell, a free program which kind of blocks Metro and brings back the old start menu.

    hi guys ive started ordering my parts for this build

    just something jumped into my head whilst watching the newegg video on first builds, do i need to buy thermal paste/compound for my cpu cooler, if so what kind would anyone recommend also are there any other small things that i need to buy?.

    Looks good! And no, you don't need to buy extra thermal paste, it's included with the H100i.

    You might want to exchange the fans of the cooler later on if they are too loud for you, but try out the standard ones first.

    thanks for the reply, ye now i look at it 37.7 db is kinda high and since it will sit next to me and ill be on mic alot, ill buy some other fans.
    found these one http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CO-9...835071-1953323 could you let me know if there good ones or if you know of any better ones.

    I have one of these Corsair SP120s on my CPU cooler (CM Hyper 212+) and it's fantastic. They're very quiet, as advertised, and the airflow is plenty good enough.

    Do note that if you intend to use the h100i's corsair link software for fan control then you will need to get a pair of PWM versions of the fans as the software cannot control the standard 3 pin models and will run them at max rpm.

    It's exactly the same product except that it's 4- instead of 3-pin. 3pin fans get controlled via voltage, 4pin ones always get 12v but are being told how fast to spin via the 4th pin. Chances are that your mainboard can control both sorts, cba to look it up.

    You can get 3pin fans as well, the asus motherboard has 3pin fan control. Get whichever is the cheapest.
