Upgrading my pc, need some advice on parts

So after 5 years, I've decided to do a little upgrading on my pc.
    Current specs :
    CPU - AMD phenom x4 9950 2.66 Ghz
    Mobo - Asus m3A32-MVP deluxe
    Ram - OCZ Reaper hpc 2x2gb DDR2 1066 Mhz
    GPU - GeForce GTX 560
    Power - 850W
(Since I built this machine I have only changed the power supply and the GPU, both of which happened in the last year.)

These past couple of days I've looking around to find suitable upgrades for my budget, which is about 350 euros. I don't know a lot about computers so thats why I'm here.

I've got my eye on these 3 upgrades:
    CPU - AMD FX-8350 - 190 Euro
    Mobo - GIGABYTE 990XA-UD3 - 97 Euro
    Ram - Kingston 8GB (2x4GB) 1600MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 DIMM - 52 Euro

Is this a worthy upgrade over my current system?
Also, are the parts I have selected compatible?

Im using the pc mainly for gaming, without any interest in overclocking or tinkering in any way.

Thanks in advance for the replies

You are at the point now that you are looking at a complete overhaul. If you upgrade the GPU, you will be bottlenecked by the CPU and visa versa. Are you sure its not a 560ti?

also what games do you play? at what resolution? these two questions greatly affect the advice you are to be given.

    Thread moved to sub-forum.

Where would you like to see improvements?

I didn't think I would have to upgrade the gpu since I did so last year, and its pretty decent. (Isn't it?)

It is definitely not a ti.

Im using 1680x1050, win7 64bit(which I forgot to mention before). I play LoL and Rift regularly, cod4 , crysis and AC from time to time. I know these aren't heavy games, but I was looking a bit towards the future.

Maybe what I'm looking for isn't in these parts but in an SSD, as I've been told. I decided to leave that out for the moment, since my budget is at 350. I figured these would be a bigger upgrade.

I am not specificaly looking for upgrade in games performance, since I don't really play heavy games, but just looking into the future. There are a few games coming out soon that I'm sure it will have trouble handling.

Also, is there a big difference between Intel and AMD when it comes to gaming? I cannot find a definite answer on this wherever I have looked. For the same price as the fx8350, I could get an i5 4570 or 3570.( i5 3470 and 3330 are at 20Euros less)

The CPU (1st generation, 4-digit Phenom) is pretty horrid to be frank.
Your GPU is probably fine - for now - for that resolution.

Intel motherboards are far more expensive than an AMD-motherboard however. And 8320 would get you quite far.
The difference for gaming? Eh, much more pronounced for MMOs and RTS. In other games, not noticable.

You may well be better off with an SSD, you're playing some very load time heavy games (I'd class LoL as load time heavy when you crash out mid game). It depends though really, your GPU will do for now but it'll certainly become your bottleneck in the next gen once devs get stuck into that.

That said though, that Mobo/CPU is definitely going to be on its last legs.
My personal recommendation (even though you say you're not interested) is that you buy an i5 4670k and compatible overclockable motherboard, which gives you the option to add onto it later down the line for a fairly substantial boost in performance at a low cost. If that really doesn't sound like you then I'll let someone else advise you on the current status of AMD vs Intel on the locked market, as I'm lacking experience in that area.

It may be worth looking into selling that rig and fully buying a new one, you could probably get 2/3rds of the way to a beast rig with the sale price and your current budget, or enough for a much better system than what you're looking at after these upgrades are done.

I will not change resolutions any time soon, so all good on the gpu front.

Since you said intel mobo is more expensive, I will probably stick with this AMD.
My other concern though, is the ssd. Is it that important to a system that doesnt have it?
Should I splurge the extra 100 for it?

I've been pointed towards this SSD. Is it a decent one?

Order them from the internet so the price is around 350, faster than AMD stuff for games, not overclockable since you wont do it anyway and sorry if this isnt allowed.

Yeah, I guess you are right. I'll get the important stuff for now and the ssd later on.

    Thanks for the help
