Yeah, it's nice, but with the programs you'll be running, I think
this 14" or
this 15.6" would be better for you. They both have intel processors (which is better than AMD processors, especially in laptops, in my opinion), with the rest of the specs the same (because the hard drive won't matter, you should still get an SSD). The processor in the 14" stays at a clock of 1.7GHz, but can overclock itself automatically inside windows to 2.6GHz, while the 15.6" stays at a constant 2.5GHz. Both have a resolution of 1366x768, so that won't matter.
Overall, it's your choice whether you want a 15.6" or a 14". If it were me, I'd go with the 14". It's smaller (dimension wise/screen wise, so the pixel density on the 14" will make it look sharper), the processor will stay at a lower clock (1.7GHz) when it doesn't need to be at 2.6GHz, which saves battery, and aesthetically, it looks more appealing. Also, it weighs 500 grams less than the 15.6".
So pretty much, all the specs are the same, except for the superior processor in the 14", and aesthetically and dimension wise, I feel the 14" wins (
here's a video of what it looks like, however this video is of the 15.6" variant, and your 14" will be slightly more compact). And yes, I'd still get
an SSD.
P.S. I went only with bestbuy.ca because it feels like you prefer this, and probably want to go pick this up at your local best buy :P.
