    Suggestion on next upgrade

    Hey all, first time posting in this section but I'm constantly upgrading my PC and I'm really at a stand still with this next upgrade. Currently my computer specs are;

    1 terabyte HDD(7200rpm)
    2x500gb HDD(7200rpm) in a raid 0 setup,
    3x4gb ram sticks
    XFX R7970 gpu
    intel core i7-920(first gen)
    IPMTB-TK (Truckee) mobo
    fatality 750w(80plus bronze) psu

I mainly do a lot of gaming be it FPS or MMO and am starting to get into streaming. I also do some occasional video editing and website design. Any help y'all could give me would be a huge help! If you need anymore information don't hesitate to ask!

4770k would be your best upgrade.

Thanks for the quick reply! I was thinking that the processor would be the best upgrade for me however I'm looking to keep it around $400-$500 and would need a new mobo as well to fit the socket. I was looking at the i5-4670k and the MSI Z87-G45 mobo and an XIGMATEK Gaia SD1283 because I heard the fans that come with the CPU's aren't that great.

Sorry I forgot to put the budget in the first post

If you're serious about streaming then a 4770k is needed.
Xigmatek Gai is a fine unit for the price, but it's not gonna cut it for haswell.
    8700K (5GHz) - Z370 M5 - Mugen 5 - 16GB Tridentz 3200MHz - GTX 1070Ti Strix - NZXT S340E - Dell 24' 1440p (165Hz)

Toffie man, you're the best! Thanks a ton for the quick reply's and the price-out for the parts! do you really think the i5-4670k wouldnt be able to handle streaming with a decent fps? And thanks for the heads up on the Xigmatek Gai I would of thought it would be fine.

The 4670k would handle it pretty well with a slight 4.3GHz+ overclock no doubt.
Gaming performance they are pretty equal in 99 % of games today, once you start streaming and do video editing you will notice that the 4770k's hyperthreading kicks in and improves performance.

If you rather save 100 $ for a 20 % improvement then do so, it wont impact the performance from to go from high settings to medium.

Would I be better off getting the 4670k and OC it and then get a 128gb SSD with the saved $100? Or just go for the 4770k and wait to get a SSD?

I would rather have an SSD imo.

All the AIO kits come with everything needed to have them run. If anything, I'd suggest you to get the 2013 version of the H60. Higher performance for little ~12$ extra. Here's a link.

I think you might have gotten the wrong link mate :P

Last question I promise! This is compatible with the 4th gen haswell LGA1150 socket right? in the review you posted it doesn't mention that at all so I'm just curious.

It is. And yeah, guess I got them mixed up.
