    Obama's approval rating is crumbling

Down to 43% average approval on RCP. Disapprove at 51%.

    http://realclearpolitics.com/epolls/...oval-1044.html

Does the media ever report that? If they do, they always attempt to couch it by either saying "Congress is worse!" or finding a republican who has worse ratings. Of course when Bush was president, the media blared it was a crisis of leadership as soon as his rating fell into the 50% range, and reported it constantly. They never looked to find a democrat who had worse ratings.

You never hear that this guy is actually unpopular...

The President is a face nothing more his approval rate dose not matter.

Anything any President wants done congress has to ok on and if they say no he could try to go over there heads but he will be removed from officer if so and seen as a evil tyrant. No matter what person becomes President it is a No Win job plan and simple. To me Obama was the lesser of 2 evils he has done things I like and some I didn't just like anyone else.

But back to my original point none of this matter's at all.

In order for there to be improvement in the government the whole government would need to be remade from the ground up and that will never happen.

Better than Hollande (French president), he's got like 70% disapproval.

While this issue about the NSA/ect is most certainly horse shit and my respect of Obama has fallen slightly, I still did vote for him. And I'm not defending him here, but merely saying that the drop to 43% is hardly "crumbling."

People also need to realize that the President doesn't have as much authoritative power as they pretend. You want to be pissed? Be pissed at Obama AND Congress. Moreso at Congress (Both Dems and Reps), especially the ones who voted for this horse shit, since they actually, you know, make laws.

I'd also suggest trying to be a bit less biased in your OP. You can have whatever belief you want, but at least wait until later on in your thread to blow your partisan load.

Of course when Bush was president, the media blared it was a crisis of leadership as soon as his rating fell into the 50% range, and reported it constantly. They never looked to find a democrat who had worse ratings.

I've actually heard Obama's approval rating being brought up with increasing frequency on that socialist, communist, America-hating MSNBC these days. I know anecdotal evidence is pretty worthless, but I feel it should be noted. And this is during MSNBC's most partisan shows, like Rachel Maddow/ect.

I'm going to go on a limb and say that the NSA stuff has done more damage to his approval rating than all of the manufactroversies combined.

One of the major reasons is that Republicans are still doing attack adds against Democrat motives like Obamacare, Obama recently has not launched ads to defend his program. When you have this imbalance, people would turn less in favor of Obama and Obamacare even though some good things are starting to come out of it like rebates as compensation for overcharging to the costumers etc.

Government at all levels is unpopular right now. I don't think the president could escape that no matter what his actions were.

Indeed obamas ratings aren't alone, Putin has also dropped from 80ish% down to about 60-63%

Democrats approval is in the teens while Republican approval ratings have dipped into the single digits.

Obama has not delivered on any of his promises to the democrats. He promised to end the war in iraq, to rejuvenate the economy, lower the debt, and his whole healthcare fiasco.

Who cares? Obama can't be re-elected, and nobody is going to waste their time with an impeachment at this point.

Congress is still sitting in the single digits and at best the teens. Or do you still think the President has a magic wand that he's simply not using because he's a dick? When Congress starts getting it's shit in gear, the government will start moving again. Besides presidential ratings have nothing to do with the President. They're more a measure of how much we want to blame someone else for our problems, the higher the rating, the less we're blaming others.

That's a historic high, everyone loves our great leader.

    It's a fake poll obviously.

Oh look, oblivionx has an awesomely informative and insightful post on an anti-Obama thread.

    What a surprise.

Like the great Ben Franklin said, 'Fish and visitors smell after three days.' Of course his approval is dropping, he's been around so long he's accumulated all manner of faux pas and media detritus to drag his image down.

Which is not to say I approve of him, I just point out one of the factors in this. I take a great deal of amusement in watching the media, which trumpeted him for so long as the do-no-wrong Golden Boy now make him out to be the Brass Spittoon.

Congressional approval ratings are always garbage and a skewed metric because most voters don't tend to identify well with an amorphous body. The statistic that should be looked at is -individual- approval ratings, which are often quite high.
