recommendations for Galaxy S4 anti malware app

I frequently browse the internet networks which I don't know I can trust, mainly those of hotels, bars and restaurants. You never know if a malicious individual has something evil hooked up as well, and after getting a porn redirect on my hotel network in Spain, I want to get an app so I am safer (or at least feel safer). could you guys recommend me a decent antimalware app for an Android phone?

I'd prefer it to be free or cheap. I use Norton on my computer and heard a number of decent reviews about their mobile security app. Is it any good, or should I look elsewhere?

If you REALLY want, im sure there are some free apps you can use, but honestly, you shouldnt need them at all. Dont download dodgy apps, and dont download unless its from the Google Play store, and you should be fine. I doubt there is a lot of malware out there for android, but I could be wrong of course. I have had mobile phone since 1993, and smartphone with internet access since the beginning, and I have never ever seen or heard of anyone that had malware or virus on their phones (not counting googling for it - im sure someone had)

Also, browsing hotels wifi and such should be fine too. Any decent hotel will have its own security set up to deal with the worse stuff, and common sense should get rid of the rest. Just browsing shouldnt affect android as it doesnt run scripts and such like a Windows PC does

you can still get it here, but you'll need your phone to be rooted.

edit: to clear up confusion after re-reading, you would have needed to be rooted even if it was still on the google store.
is rooting just what they say on there? enable unknown publishers?

You don't need to root android to install adblock. Just need to enable installing from unknown sources in settings.

Okay, I installed adblock. Does it block all ads, including those in-app, or just those in the browser?
