Guacamelee

Guacamelee is an action platform (very much in the spirit of Metroid and Castlevania) indie game that was recently released on Steam (before it was just PS3/Vita exclusive). Now, I was REALLY surprised at how good this game is. The combat is incredibly fun, it is a very polished game, and the art style is really appealing. It has some really solid gameplay, and is just fun to play. I'm legitimately surprised that I don't see more people talking about this, since this is one of the best indie games I've played, period. Amazing art style. Tight controls and fun combat. You can turn into a chicken. Pretty much covers all the bases.
