Sure we might be behind in science and education, health care and much more but you sure want our help when it comes to bailing out your country when your economy is collapsing or going to war, or rebuilding you.

Here in California we are considered the 12th largest economy compared to other countries. ( state vs countries)

also as Quetzl said, America is much bigger on the world stage, what America does affects the world a lot more than what the UK does for example, so it gets more criticism for outsiders.

2: That's simply not correct - other countries help rebuild and "bailing out when going to war"... Uhm, I kinda remember when the US wanted to wage war against Iraq how busy you guys were trying to gather allies to help *you*.
