I don't have a creditcard, so I just linked my paypal account to my bank account and you can pay that way, works like a charm. I can't even play any of these games on my laptop, but it's so cheap that I bought the bundle anyway, in case I do buy a new computer.

Yes, I got Alice: Madness Returned on both Steam and Origins copying the key out of steam. I'm not sure weither you can claim it from 2 clients if the key isn't from steam though.

Exactly. Hopefully make fans for BF4/Sims 4, sell DLC for the games in the pack, build gamer goodwill to combat their negative public image, increase the number of people using Origin in the hopes that they'll be able to sell more software to people using the platform.

There are a ton of benefits to them from a PR/marketing standpoint, and it's really a minimal expenditure for them as most of the games included (minus Dead Space 3, which came out this year >.>) have hit their saturation point in sales and aren't likely to sell many more copies at this point in time.
