Cinematic trailers are so ... blah.
Who gives a shit when it tells us absolutely nothing about the game or the gameplay. If I want to see something like that, I'll watch a film or a movie that tells a story not an over-hyped commercial that doesn't say anything.

I'll play the game, for sure, but not because of this trailer. The OP's madman's rantings about Blizzard are quite unintelligible, what exactly where they getting at?

The old Republic trailers are far better than that.

Last trailer I saw from them was really bad. I believe it was from the cartel expansion. HORRIBLE direction. I guess they burned all the trailer budget trying to sell ME3 DLC, and now they produce only crap.

You're taking the M rating on the box out of context and to be quite frank, more gore and violence attracts kids.

The Witcher is undeniably more mature than most other games.

Is it the blood, gore, and nudity that make it more mature? Absolutely not.

It is the depth of characters, the world that's created by the use of the above-mentioned characteristics, and most of all, the political subtleties.

Comparatively speaking there really isn't a single game that comes to mind as being more mature. No, not Skyrim, not even Dark Souls. It's just how real world the SECOND Witcher is that makes it so mature. Go back to the Witcher 1 and I'd say that Dark Souls can be considered more mature.

From a quality, dialogue, action, depth, heroin perspective it is easily objectively one of the best cinematic video game trailers made to date.

Like I said earlier, it isn't boobs or violence that makes The Witcher mature. It's the world that writer made, it's the delicate political structure, the hiearchies and how they play out. The Witcher is undeniably more mature than any of the games you mentioned. I say this because I can't think of a single developer that has done justice to the depth of a literary piece of work the way CD Projekt Red has.

Oh yea and the Skyrim announcement trailer I would say is the best one I've seen in terms of story.

Well, first. I would imagine you are using quality as a sort of meta score of the following aspects.
dialogue: context is what makes dialogue impactful. In this case, a cheese ball story undercuts it.
action: so there was an upset ultralysk. meh.
depth: same issue with dialogue. context.
heroin perspective: sure. I guess? what does that have to do with quality? Is female perspective a +5% quality modifer?

Sure no doubt its a fairly mature game, with a decent story. Still doesn't excuse having a sex scene thrown at you at almost every time and the cheesy dialogue in a lot of the game's story. If you actually played any of the games I mentioned you wouldn't be saying that, Xenogears and Planescape: Torment specifically. That said I enjoyed the Witcher games, but I'm tired of the fans acting like its the first/best "mature" game ever. I will say one thing though, CD Projekt is by far the best RPG developer by today's standards.

The burdens of Shaohao series (an unfair comparison, I know) is also better than this trailer.
But it is a good trailer, for sure. Not as good as the WoW Patch 5.4 trailer, but definitely up there.
To be honest, this strikes me more as a teaser than a trailer, which is probably why.

Mature or not does not define quality. This cinematic of TW3 is awesome but I think there are better ones out there such as SC2's,D3's and a lot of WC's cinematics.

The CGI was fantastic, I've seen very few done better.

As for writing, acting, direction, emotional impact, and attention grabbing? It was very average in all departments.
