And this is not thread about "WoW is not mature, blah, blah".

Though it's obvious that WoW is for +12 years old kids(and contain pandas), while Witcher it for +18 because it's for more mature people.
Wait what?..... Okay now you lost me.

So This is NOT about WoW being for kids but that Witcher is for more mature people because it is 18+ and not containing pandas...What does that make WoW to you in your opinion? Because to me it sounds like your bashing down WoW as it is for kids which make ur comment stupid.

And to see ur comment's...well I've actually seen a 12 y/o far more mature than you, so your arguments are invalid.

I just loved this one when it was released and I still think it's one of the best cinematics ever.

yeah, the animation in that cinematic is actually very bad. The rendering and modeling though is top notch. But pretty much every other aspect is lacking, the story telling isn't very good, the scenery is bland, action is clunky and hard to read, there is alot of questionnable camera choices... I would take 3 hours of panda over 10 minutes of this.

What you mix up with quality is actually artistic design. If you think WoW cinematics will suddenly become realistic with characters of real-life proportions and all, you don't quite understand WarCraft at all, and you will be waiting a long time. The amount of work and talent that have been put into MoP cinematic is much greater than the one from the Witcher 3. I'm not trying to be a fanboy who think Blizzard can only be the best, but the exemple you gave here just isn't good, there is alot of great cinematics that competes or even beat Blizzard's ones, but this isn't one of them.

    Yo.

Don't see why people are getting their panties in a bunch over the OP. Blizzard used to put out AMAZING cinematic, top of the market quality. Now they're still good, but not in the top spot anymore. OP want's Blizzard to up the quality of their cinematic to match or surpass the other great ones on the market, thus "wake up".

Watch it with polish dubbing which is far superior to english one, start learning polish IF u want to fully enjoy The Witcher.

From what i know Platige Image studio made that CGI. The main boss in Platige Image is Tomasz Bagiński who was nominated for Oscar in 2002 as i recall. They also made The Witcher 2 Xbox 360 Enchanced edition trailer and Cyberpunk 2077 teaser trailer. You can check their website.

I don't really care about the argument in this thread, just here to say: I'm really excited for Witcher 3 since the moment they announced it to be an open-world game. That was really the only thing that always disturbed me with Witcher 1/2, still I'm a fan of both of them - and now I'm going to get an open-world one. I could squee like a little girl thinking about it.

So violence makes the game more mature?
Good thing I still enjoy the HotS trailer. Actually I think it's the top 5 of my favorite trailers. And it still gives me chills when I watch it.

Enough violence here and it's a trailer of a Blizzard game. So I doubt they need to step up their game.
And when I watched that trailer of yours I didn't really get hyped like with some other trailers I've seen.

I love The Witcher. (not like the ladies love him, though)

MoP had a more intricate trailer imo.
You're getting exactly what you deserve.

You obviously know squat about The Witcher if youre clasifying it as a generic "violent game", its so so so much more than that. One of the deepest most imersive RPG universes ever created, and the story on both Witcher games is told masterfully. I actualy want pretty bad to read the books that are source material for the game but theyre hard to find and super expensive on my country.

I dont get where the OP is comming at cause Blizz has pretty amazing cinematics, has always had, but this Witcher cinematic is quite an awesome one and portraits the moraly ambigous world of The Witcher quite well.

Technically it is wonderful, but screenplay wise still falls short of Blizzard's cinematics including MoP

You could have clarified this was just a teaser, most likely not the full cinematic they will use in the game. (That's what I think a lot of people are thinking when reading quickly through the reactions)

Also, The tailer is quite well done, I can't wait for the witcher 3. I hope more of wonderfull teasers like the ones today will come our way.

Great cinematic, but terrible post. Blizz isn't the only one making great teasers. That and the games are rather different so why compare?

    Also, can't wait for W3.

Details were great but the combat animation was terrible. Not impressed...and as someone said the Star Wars ones are superior in both detail and combat animation. (theres more then just the Star Wars ones, but they are just so awesome so they jump to mind straight away)

Witcher beats Warcraft in every way, like gameplay, story not being powered by the usual gobshite that WoW is, better characters, better immersion, music, environments, and sure as fuck better bosses.

All opinions. To me The Witcher franchise is simple said with 1 word...shit. Doesn't mean the game is shit, otherwise it wouldn't be as popular as it is...but to ME it's shit.

    opinions =/= facts

"... and I know you will show restraint when excercising your great power"

The WOTLK trailer could win an oscar for best story, visuals, music score and acting (voice) and script

That Whitcher trailer looked like any Assassin's Creed trailer.

I really like this cinematic. It doesn't give away much, but puts the viewer right into the world of the Witcher, and again defines who Geralt is and what does he believe in in this game. And, for instance, I really like the action sequence, it feels chaotic, but also very fast paced, like a real fight (for the sake of comparison, I don't like rehearsed fights like the one from MoP cinematic. The animation shows everything slower and more directly, but it looks more like a dance than a fight).

That said, Both Witcher 1 and 2 cinematics beat this one. Simply because they were longer, and the first one used the time to add more storytelling right from the book itself (the monster fight is word to word like it is in "the Witcher" story), and the second used it for more fighting.
