Is this laptop worth buying? ASUS K55DR-SX178H

Hello!

I'm buying a new laptop for school and I would like to be able to play wow on in (not needed to be ultra settings) and wonder about this laptop.

Is it a good buy, it costs about 517 euro (4490 swedish kr) which is only 105 euro more expensive than the cheapest laptop.

Yes you should be able to play WoW on this laptop fairly well.

Seems decent, though you didn't list what kind of CPU is in it (Or perhaps im completely blind).

I google'd a bit and found there are apparently more versions of this laptop with slightly different CPU's, although they are all AMD ones. Like the AMD A8-4500m. The clock speed on it is fine, but AMD falls far behind Intel when it comes to gaming, and WoW is a CPU dependent game i'm afraid.

i bought an ASUS about 4 years ago when my old laptop crapped out on me. While I tend to focus more on my PC now that I am done with school, it can still play WoW well. It has also held up quite well over the years. I have not had a single issue with it in the 4 years I have had it.

That sounds nice, I bought an Acer laptop in 2009 and it has been nothing but trouble. My pcs motherboard is from Asus and it has been reliable and therefor I hoped their laptops would be too.


Thanks for the answers, I'll probably go for this, its relatively cheap and much better than just slightly cheaper ones, and as said, its mostly for school, only want to play wow on it when away from home
