Adele: Someone Like You
Billy Holliday: Strange Fruit
Bruce Springsteen: Streets of Philadelphia
Eric Clapton: Tears in Heaven
John Lennon: Mother
Johnny Cash: Hurt
Joni Mitchell: River
Joy Division: Love Will Tear Us Apart
Nick Drake: River man
Radiohead: Exit Music (For A Film)
Sinead O'Connor : Nothing Compares 2 You
Stevie Wonder: Lately
The Shangri-Las: Leader of the Pack
From the poll I'd say Tears In Heaven, specially when you know the story behind it.
Other songs that affect me would be Unforgiven by Metallica and So far Away by Avenged Sevenfold. I'm not even that big of a fan of Avenged Sevenfold, but that song really got to me, a really great and sad song at the same time.

This was made 6 weeks before Freddie died. He was basically on his deadbed when he wrote it and he killed it.
or pretty much anything else by My Dying Bride.
But there are too many songs that tie to personal experiences. I had a few years of unrequited love...yikes. That was when songs from Kristopher Astrom like "Poor boy's heart", "Oh yeah, that's nice" or "Until tomorrow" were killing me. And even more so Christian Kjellvander. "Two souls" or "Union lake". Hell..almost everything he has done...
