    Commando pve leveling dps build

    Hi there fellow Swtor players.

    Im kinda lost at the moment,looked around for a good commando pve leveling dps build and ive found so many that i cant really make up my mind,anyone offer me some advice on a good solid build?

    Decide between gunnary and assault, then just stick to it =)

    gunnary is more fluid for questing, assault is funnieer in pvp if you asks me. However, I leveled as gunnary :P

    I did gunnary aswell... = mass murdering machine in PvE and the same in PvP, especially when people keep hugging each other + ranged. Built for that... pretty much straight forward up the tree.

    At the moment I'm leveling a Commando as gunnery. Really good for PVE but awesome at PVP. Really enjoying the class, i was a hard core WOW player and never played anything like a Commando. I've named him 'Schwarzenegger' and when i go afk in Flashpoints i say "i'll be back" hehe

    Thanks for the replies folks.

    Well yeah so far ive been putting all my talents into Gunnery except for 3 points into Field Training (Increases ranged and tech critical chance 1/2/3%) and 3 points into into target lock (Increases ranged and tech accuracy 1/2/3% and full auto and high impact ignore 10/20/30% of the enemies armour)

    Those seem like points well invested to me but maybe im wrong,any thoughts?

    after that aim for 1) rotary cannon, 2 ) target lock 3) all the rest =)

    Yep good call on getting that skill,dont know how i missed it,more energy=more dps.

    I've done Gunnery on my Commando & Arsenal (it's twin) on my Bounty Hunter. Good god is it a fun spec to play.

    Also, you pretty much want to hit your "top of the tree" talent before branching out to the others, if I'm not mistaken, as it makes your rotation smoother. I had put 36 points into Gunnery (skipping Heavy Trooper, Tenacious Defense and Decoy), while picking up Target Lock in Assault Specialist, and Cell Capacitor, Field Training, and First Reponder in the Combat Medic side.

    Also? There's already an Arsenal Mercenary guide here on the MMO-C forums, located here. Their tree is a bit different from mine, but they've also got the theorycrafting and stuff down for endgame things. You just need to tweak the stuff namewise to fit Gunnery.
