This, Arthas has so much, SO MUCH lore behind him seeing as you played as him in WC3 until he becomes the Lich King, there is no competition.

Arthas was struck by the good ol' WoW curse. He could have been an epic character, turned into an old worn-out cliché that kept on getting his ass kicked.

Of these three, Garrosh is the only one who has been at least mildly interesting to follow, and one who I'm actually hyped to take down. Arthas had a good fight, but he was a running gag. Deathwing's replacement had a shitty fight and was way too generic.

Hands down Garrosh.

Arthas.

Garrosh is a massive tool and Deathwing, well he started great in the lore, became a joke.

At least with Arthas, from beginning till end, he was a great villain, and it really felt like the end of an era when wrath was over.

I played Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne way before I started WoW, and I have never understood the love for The Lich King. I guess people are very amused by the fact that he turned into what he fought against.

I was looking forward to the Deathwing fight itself since it had so much potential, but utterly failed.

Out of these 3, I can safely say I'm looking forward to killing Garrosh. Following him since The Burning Crusade up until now has been something on its own.

The lore character I like the most? Not on that list for sure.

Either:
1. Brann Bronzebeard, since he shows up only when there are serious god problems to deal with
2. Captain Vanessa Beltis, because she defended Azshara against endless waves of naga from vanilla till cataclysm but has since disappeared.

Deathwing? Hahahahahahahaha oh God don't make me laugh. He was interesting in the books, but just like nearly everything else in Cataclysm, Deathwing was a failure. Dragon Soul and both of his boss fights were arguably some of the shittiest things in WoW, AND he got completely fucked as far as story goes. Before he was in WoW he was a scheming, manipulative bastard, in Cataclysm it is literally just "Rawr Dragon BURN!" I've seen puddles deeper than him.

Garrosh, while he's MILES ahead of Deathwing, can't compete with Arthas, sure Garrosh had been built up from TBC-MoP, but the MMO Format made his character growth seem really inconsistent, (TBC-Wrath Pre expac event, and Cata-Tides of War Novel were the biggest offenders). Arthas had the luxury of RTS format showing us, step by step, his downfall from Prince of Lordaeron to Death Knight, and eventually to Lich King.

Arthas wins hands down, but it's not a fair contest, Arthas definitely had the better format for story telling.

Garrosh before they ruined his character in Tides of War. Thrall acts too human for my tastes.

Arthas is ok, can't wait to see Illidan again, and Deathwing sounded like a fun fight until I saw his... tentacles.
