    Southrend - or Northrend 2.0?

I'd really like another ice-themed expansion.

But what do you think would be best, a Southrend or an update to Northrend?

There's definitely support for placing a southern cold continent on Azeroth, as it's a planet like any other with cold poles. Because Northrend is more like Antartica than the Artic, due to having a landmass of rock beneath the layers of ice, perhaps Southrend could be a floating glacier instead?

    Think of the possibilities!

I would prefer to go to Northwestrend.

I think it'd be too much of a rehash of Northrend unless done in a very creative way.

There are no possibilities, unless the entire xpac is dedicated to fighting icebergs and glaciers.

    Where's your imagination?

I can imagine everything from vast grottos inside the glaciers, to strange cold and dark underwater zones beneath it. Magical forests kept by the Titans, lost dwarven expeditions, another sub-race of the Aqir. Perhaps there could even be landmasses tied to it, inspired by ancient South American civilizations and cultures.

I'd much prefer a revamp of Northrend as a high level area, perhaps paired with Azjol Nerub. Southrend would be completely out of the blue and without any previously established lore. Even Pandaria drew on old lore. It'd feel like they were getting a bit desperate.

I could just as easily ask you the same. You are the one arguing for familiarity.

What, the entire continent of Northrend isn't enough?

Also, I live in Alaska, I'm really sick of ice and snow, so this idea can just go away now.

I don't think azeroth's climate is like ours at all :P it goes from freezing up north to deserts/ tropical rain forests in the south then you have pandaria a lush green paradise which throws all logic out the window :P

Right on. Even Blizzard called it that.

Icy terrain already has plenty of representation in the game. I would settle for a single zone at the most.

    I want a "other-side-of-the-Azeroth-globe"-rend.

    Southrend of course!

Despite what Blizzard says, everyone knows that Pandaria is at the confluence of the Veiled Sea and the Forbidding Sea, not in the South Seas...

    What, no option for Underthesearend?

I'll vote Northrend 2.0. It has a darkness under there. Too much ice? The darkness melts most of it. Problem solved. Northrend can turn from ice to fire.

Not a big fan of ice and snow continents myself. Too bland.
