Connected Realms

Is this feature already working? I don't see anything on my realm. I'm on Jaedenar EU which is a very low populated and still have like no more than 20 ppl in Orgrimmar at all times.

And additionally, what happened to the X-realm dueling zone in Durotar - this was the only thing that was keeping me in the game in 5.2 and it was gone in 5.3 because of the Barrens PvP event. Now with the event gone shouldn't we see the X-Realm back in Durotar?

Nothing as of yet for connected virtual realms. When you hover over a person you will see "coalsced" meaning they are Cross realm with a *. Look for a # and when you see that, you will know that your realm was merged.

Does this mean that Connected Realms will trump X-realms or will the 2 features coexist?

They coexist. CRZ will be useful in leveling zones still. Even on high pop servers those zones are usually fairly empty.

Connected Realms are a form of merged realm.

X-Realm zones are created to make a leveling zone populated to some target.

They are different things. It's possible that with connected realms there might be less reason to have X-Realm zones engage. It all depends on how many people are in the leveling zone itself.

Does anyone know if the X-Realm zone will be back in Durotar? It was really a great idea to allow players duel and interact where duels on the Horde side have always taken place. Dueling was always a fun (albeit unbalanced) part of PvP and one that doesn't hurt anyone.
