Tried taking a photo of some rain; iPhone speakers won't work

RICE ALL NIGHT BROUGHT IT BACK TO LIFE!!!!!!

    Hey all,

About 20 mins ago, I tried taking a picture of some rain on my iphone. The rain picked up very violently very quickly (in bands), within seconds, so I put my phone away - but not before some rain got on the outside of the phone.

Now, the speaker that goes near my ear won't work and music doesn't play from my iPhone. If I make a phone call and put it on speaker, I can hear that; but no music, no calls from the ear, and music won't play.

Is my phone totally broken? Or is there a fix I can do to make it work again? I tried having it under a fan and my AC unit, but it still isn't working.

Shut it off, put it in a bucket/bin/whatever full of dry rice. Try it in the morning.

I thought this said dry ice when I read it at first. I was going to advise that this was a bad idea.

Put it in the bathtub and fill the bathtub with warm water, not cold! and it should work.

cup of dry Rice/Ice ( needs to be Light Ice )
it will suck the moisture from anything nearby. so it would take the moisture from ya phone.

if that doesn't work i suggest you bring it to someone thats handy and make em open it up.

there moisture sensors inside it so ya can't get warranty or return it without getting billed.

Try putting the phone in the refrigerator. This may sound wired most of us associate heat with the drying process. Actually the refrigerator cools things by drawing moisture out.

Maybe run the vibrate as much as possible, could accelerate the drying time.

Have you tried this before? Because the moment you take it out of the fridge, it would develop condensation inside and out.

Just to be clear, definitely do rice.

I would not recommend put it in anything too cold though, if it freezes the water that might be in your device, it'll expand and who knows what damage it might do.

Yes it doesn't ruin it. However the freezer would.
