    New Brewmaster Monk LF Advice

    Evening Folks,

I've recently rerolled to a monk from a DK as I decided I wanted to try something new. We are currently progressing through SoO and downed Iron Juggernaut tonight. However I am currently a big noob and would like some advice for improvements. Any criticism on Talents, Glyphs and the below log is well appreciated.

I am still learning and have only tanked 6 bosses so far, so far from perfection, I have an idea of the basics, just looking to improve.

    My character is http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/characte.../Kede/advanced

    Cheers

Edit: Looking at the log myself, my Shuffle uptime is pretty shit. That definitely needs working on.

You don't really need agility, idk why so many red gems. Brewmaster is interesting in the way that they are good regardless of what stat you're going for, but a mix is kind of useless. Generally Crit or Mastery STACKED works out well. This 50/50 stuff doesn't help much. Go all in with 1 of them, mastery if you're takin a lot of dmg and crit if you want more dps/more elusive brew. Like you said, shuffle could definitely be higher on the Iron Jugg fight..but it's not bad I guess, as long as it is up when you're tanking him it's fine, since its a tank swap fight. Your haste in incredibly low, which is probably why your shuffle uptime is a bit wacked, might help to reforge a bit into it. I started SoO at 3.9k~ haste and felt it was too low, and I actually forged all the way up to 6k haste now, makes life easier. (though i use Rune of Reorig, so I found myself energy starved at some points. I'm definitely no professional expert but I think I know a bit, heres my armory maybe for some ideas? My Armory

There's nothing wrong with any mix of mastery and crit that you feel works for you and your raid. stack 1, stack the other, split, it's all fine if that's what works for your raid.

With 0 haste you can maintain shuffle uptime and guard when needed with some left over for purifying. It's not going to directly kill you to let shuffle drop when not actively tanking him, but even if you're doing mines you should be still stacking shuffle up so that you can use as many chi for PB as you want while you're tanking. Like, it is something that should happen naturally. I get that in some fights it's not trivial to do, but it is something you should be doing. More haste isn't like terrible if you get it on gear, but if you feel energy starved, adding more haste is probably trying to solve the fact that you hit the wrong buttons by using the wrong gear. With perfect play you should never be low on energy at all unless your hp dipped low and you spammed Expel Harm on yourself. If you ever find yourself out of energy, replace a jab or two here and there with a tiger palm to keep your OCD fingers happy.

Agi is good. It is not better though, than expertise, crit, mastery, so they only way you'd have agi gems at all is trying to not overcap expertise and using agi/mastery or agi/crit gems in a red socket rather than exp/mas or exp/crt. The only other exception is the agi JC gems are better because blizzard designed JC gems wrong.

You could definitely make better use of gift of the ox.
