Looking to Buy a New Laptop

    • So I'm looking to buy a new gaming laptop for around $1200 - $1500.
    • I've been looking at CyberPowerPC, IBuyPower, and Alienware, but I haven't been sure which I should choose if I even should choose one of them.
    • I'm hoping to play WoW, LoL, Smite, and probably a few other games at high setting.
    • I'll also be doing some programming using Java, Javascript, Python, and C++ on it.
    • I'm also not sure whether I should get Windows 7 or Windows 8 on it.

Right now, I would just invest the money on a good desktop, and buy a cheap laptop for school/work if I really had the need to.
    Totally agree with Myobi.
But if you do it anyway, http://www.digitalstormonline.com/

The reason that I'm thinking about getting a laptop is because I only really have the money for either a desktop or a laptop and I feel a laptop would be more beneficial.

A $600-700 desktop (tower only, let's say 800-900 with peripherals) can run those games better than any laptop while the rest of your budget can go towards a cheaper laptop only used for school/work/whatever.

Do you have a recommended build for around that much that I could use then?

I already have a monitor, so you can take the money from that and put it towards some of the other parts

Included an SSD then, and a more powerful GPU.
