Billions is an extreme stretch when dealing with WoW, the populations are probably in low millions but thats aside the point as it depends on the circumstances. "Cold logic deemed our world not worth saving" that's not entirely accurate, Algalon DID deem Azeroth worth saving after seeing how ferociously we fought against him to save it. So while you wish to claim the Titans protocol is flawed and coldly logical, it's not, on account of Algalon deciding to *spare* Azeroth. The moment someone is willing to toss billions of lives away in order to preserve the future, it is a logical choice, but from a moral standpoint it can hardly be seen as right.
I disagree entirely.Of course Titans are far beyond us, and most likely see us as a lesser existence, that if necessary will be snuffed out, if it serves their greater good. That is the core argument, the titans have much blood on their hands, they are as likely to be our allies as our enemies.
Whose morality is the scale? Titans or mortals? The morality of mere mortals is so insignificant to that of beings like the Titans the very fact the Titans and their representatives even lend them an ear speaks volumes as to the disposition of the Titans themselves. Remember the story is Algalon spared Azeroth because its inhabitants showed their worthiness to him, no matter what his "protocols" were prior he made a judgement call based on what he saw. His musing about other worlds bathed in the makers fire is nothing more than musing; he was never ever challenged by any of them on their worlds, only challenged on Azeroth. He could've ordered re-origination but didn't. I see it as said other worlds were too far gone to be able to spare. The correct decision is not always compatible with morality, once that line is crossed, they are neither good nor evil, but rather gray.
Blizz has contradicted itself once more by saying that the Zandalari came *after* the Titans and all trolls descended from them (in the new Voljin book). Tinfoil hat aside.Since blizz said the Trolls predate the Arrival of the Titans, I would assume it was never re-originated before.
