Mysterious green crystal in the Shrine?

Right in front of the Shrine is this very odd crystal cluster that is floating aimlessly in front of the door. I have never seen anything like this before, so I'm kind of at a loss as to what, exactly, it is. It cannot be targeted, and there doesn't seem to be any pattern in it's movements. There's nobody else around, and I can't really find any connection to it and any quest. Does anybody have any idea what this is?

Me thinks that's one of the crystals from Timeless Isle that changes the local weather.

I believe it's one of the weather stones from the timeless isle.
Look up "Sunset Stone" on wowhead (I can't post links).

Monk main Retired til warlords beta/release, undecided about it.

Looks like it is a Sunset Stone, as a few people have pointed out. How strange. Didn't even know such a thing existed.

Could we get proper weather and day/night cycles now, Blizzard?

The burning legion are placing summoning stones all over pandaria and intend to conquer it to use it as a staging area for the upcoming expansion!...or it's a weather stone :P

one makes rain, the other makes blizzards, fun little flavour item from yaungol in Timeless Isle and nothing more.
If it's not an elf, leave it on the shelf.
