Body 1 is super thin (Mako/Vette/Kaliyo), Body 2 is the "normal" one most players and models in game have (Jaessa, Temple, Risha, Kira, ect...), Body 3 is the beefy Amazonian look (Akaavi-Smuggler is the only companion I can think with this model), and Body 4 is the thicker model (like the NPC Duchess on Dromund Kaas, no thick companions =( ).

Not really seeing your point, I think the male characters look just fine. But we all have our own perspective and tastes I suppose. Like someone mentioned before, subscribing gives you periodic cartel coins which can be used to by cosmetic packs in the ingame store.
