I know Blizzard is suppose to be starting the "Connected Realms" thing today with only 2 servers, but I'm seeing a few guilds on my server having people from different servers in their WoL for SoO normal. Unless Flex is somehow reporting as Normal for WoL, not sure how this is done.

Flex is counting as Normal on WoL. I had logs upload from last night's Flex run and it treats them as normal.

Could be flex reporting as normal. I know that sometimes if you wipe in 25m it records as 10m depending on how the wipe went down.

Can't any version of SoO be done via cross server now? So if you have buddies on your real ID you can raid with them in normal or heroic now?

Pretty sure you can't cross-realm Normal/Heroic still, just Flex (and LFR but we don't speak about that)
