    Garrosh 25-man issues

Hello, not really a frequent poster, as you can see from my lack of posts, but I would like to ask for some help from those who have experience.
We are currently progressing on Garrosh 25 man, and we seem to be having a snag after the 2nd heart absorb. We come out and he is usually around 35-40 corruption, so its a guaranteed empowered corrupted whirlwind.

The issue we seem to be having is at 2 places.

    1. How should we handle the adds that spawn, we tried having them get stack on melee/boss and having ppl taunt them out to kill them, but they die to quickly to cleaves and well from there it just becomes a mess when the tanks get wrecked by 4-5 adds with 2-3 stacks each.

    2. After we come out of the 2nd heart absorb phase the boss is about 45-50%, should we start moving him to a side of the room in preparation for Phase 3.
I know we are close to a kill once we get this part fixed, but any advice from those that know would be greatly appreciated.

    1) You can have people spread out a little bit for the adds (8 yards I believe), and just make sure they're separate before killing one.

    2) If you can really push him to 30-35% before the second sha phase you'll be in a great position to get him to not make a 3rd. Unless you're 4 healing it and zerg nuking him hard, it's rather difficult to get through 2 sha phases and not get him over 25 corruption. You could potentionally do it if you get the Jade Temple and Terrace phases. But if you get the Red Crane Temple, you're going to be over 25.

I would just keep your normal raid movement positions until you actually push him into p3. We also noticed that any axes up from p2 that are left in p3 can be killed, just not the ones that spawn in p3.

When the adds come from the empowered whirlwind have everyone spread out. When an add spawns near them have each individual person focus the nearest add to them, this way the adds will stay pretty spread out and never give another add a buff when it explodes.

Also be sure to break people out of MC as fast as possible in P3, they have a lot more health and cannot be CC'd except for interrupts. The kill can spiral out of control extremely fast if 1-2 MCs are left unchecked.

We had the same issue with adds. We found the best way to deal with them was have the range spread out 8 yds apart and keep melee on boss. We have a blood DK and one frost DK, we took turns gripping one add at a time to melee to burst it down, worked really well. Just need to make sure if a bunch of adds spawn on melee to have some people move out so there is no more then 1 (2 at the max) add in melee.

Something to this that has been a heated question for our raid group. Can the ranged stay stacked together during the Corrupted Whirlwind, or is the damage done to the person a splash or single target 200k?
Also is it advisable to have the melee on the boss scumbaging, or preferred to have them GTFO

Also to this, if the ranged can stay stacked, it would be immediately after they would want to spread out for adds correct?

In terms of the adds, what we did was once the boss starts his empowered whirlwind, we had the melee run out to the ranged stack point, dance around in a small clump avoiding the purple swirl's that spawn the small adds, and have our monk tank pick up the adds with the help of tricks/MDs and he just kites them the rest of the fight. We even did it without a hunter since we didn't have one. But then you don't have to worry and just have the brewmaster kite them around the rest of the fight. This means that we do 3 tank it though.

In terms if MCs, we have our ranged on a stack point away, once the axe gets thrown at us the entire range group runs into melee for MCs, be sure they are damaged down and INTERUPTED which is huge so that MCs don't overrun your raid, keep them interrupted. Also try not to DOT them, having chain lightnings and stuff that doesn't leave dots is a nice bonus. You can even have your shamans pre drop Capacitor totem so as soon as MC goes out you have a 5s stun on them.

And I say yes as soon as your out of the 2nd heart get to the side of the room and its basically just rinse and repeat with your monk tank kiting adds. That's what we did and it got us our kill. Hope it helps

So its entirely okay to stack during Empowered Corrupt whirlwind? And the adds only spawn if they are hit by one of the waves shooting from it correct?

We had very similar problems as you.

We solved it with one simple principle. Be stacked up as much as possible.

This was our plan for Empowered WW.

    1. Healer marked with Square for the stack point.
    2. Melee (except for rogues) run out to square as Empowered WW comes out.
    3. The raid group moves mostly the same direction (in our case left) as purple pools come out.
    4. Maintain a loose stack (approx 25 yard diameter circle) always staying out of purple where adds spawn.
    5. If you have adds on you, stay out (but as close to Square as possible).
    6. If you have no adds on you, stack on Square immediately!
    7. As you kill adds, stack on Square.
    8. Simply do not dps adds if there are more than 1 (find the solo ones).
    9. Use taunts/grips and anything else to split them up (they don't hit hard and are solo-able).
    10. Don't multi-dot (you cannot guarantee when the add will die, and it doesn't take much DPS to kill unempowered adds).
    11. If someone is getting agro on 3-4 adds, they are doing it wrong! You have to get them to stop aoeing or multi-dotting!
    12. Be ready for MC. MC is more important than adds! This is why you stack ASAP. if adds are up during MC, switch to MC!

The adds really don't hit hard until they get empowered. So, we took our time. Made sure they didn't empower each other. Consistently, one add would die, and empower 2 other adds. Now you have 2 adds that just essentially healed themselves 2 fold via hp increase and you just tripled their dps.

    Hope this helps.
