    Question Norushen 10m DPS/Healing

    Hi,

    Yesterday, we did our first tries on Norushen and wiped quite a lot due to not healing/DPSing enough it seems.
    At the end of the evening, we eventually managed to kill him but not without subbing one of our heals and switching one of our DPS.
    I wonder if there is something that our healers/DPS are not doing right or if we just managed to get it right for this try.

    For the orbs, we did it like this:

    DPS - Healer
    DPS - Healer
    DPS - Healer
    DPS - Tank
    DPS

    The black orbs were soaked by our healers and the tank that took a golden orb.

    Any advice or constructive critism would be gladly appreciated

    Looked at your longest wipe (6:33).

    This is really a two heal fight. Your healers are struggling due to you taking quite a bit more damage than needed.

    First of all, both your warriors used demo banner only once, could be used twice. Your rogue never used smokebomb. Your shaman used ancestral guidance twice instead of three times. That's about 5 cooldown uses you wasted, making it 6 if we count that your bear didn't use a tranquillity.

    Second, the boss is gaining fusion stacks. He gained a total of 17 stacks during the attempt, and got to 4 stacks basically towards the end of the fight (which is the time damage is mostly going out, and small adds shouldn't even be popping because DPSers should all be purified before 50%)

    Third, you could gain some extra DPS by only having non-purified DPSers focus the adds so that they deal full damage to the boss as well. (Your rogue, which by going by the damage done was probably the first one to get purified, actually ended up second on the big adds)

    We 3 heal the fight, but with a different order.
    DPS - DPS
    Tank - DPS
    Tank - DPS
    Healer - DPS

    Tanks take the orbs before they go in, healers do it after.

    With 3 healers getting the buff isn't needed (for us).

    if you want to 3 heal the fight, I´d suggest something like this:

    DD1 - DD2 (DD3 and DD4 are soaking adds
    DD3 - DD4 (DD 5 and Tank 1 soaking)
    DD5 - Tank 1 (Tank 2 soaking)

    Tank 1 is now at 0 and can soak the last 4 adds from 50% till 0 (offtank the last add)

    We 3 heal this, our orb order is:
    DPS
    DPS
    Heal1
    DPS
    Tank1
    DPS
    Heal2
    Tank2
    DPS
    Heal3
    Tank1 (At about 40% and only if already above 50)

    We have a heal grab a black orb if they are the next to go in and one is up. Heal 2 and 3 usually end up getting one each.

    We three heal this and here is our orb order:

    Tank - DPS
    Heal - DPS
    Heal - DPS
    Heal - DPS
    Tank - DPS

    Don't usually have issues but the fight does go a bit longer since we have the DPS soaking corruptions before they go into their trials. Probably going to change it this week to have the first cleansed tank do it to speed up the fight a minute or so.

    How we did it with 2(can be done with 3 as well) on heroic and normal with massive time left on enrage on heroic(near 55 seconds left on 10H)

    Two dps(1 healer 1 tank soak)
    Tank who soaked + another dps(other tank soaks this one)
    15sec before first tank comes out another dps goes(tank coming out soaks this)
    Other tank goes + another dps(tank who came out alrdy has 25/100)
    another dps when one above is done(tank soaks and now has 75/100 after soaking)
    75/100 tank goes in now that other tnak is out at 0/100
    no one else goes in tanks soak 50, 40, 30, 20, 10 adds

    We do
    Tank-DPS
    Tank-DPS
    Heal-DPS
    Heal-DPS
    Heal-DPS

    Also no problem. I guess it depends on item level and dps a bit. If you're struggling to beat enrage, i would make sense to send out 2 dps at the start.

    My guild does it differently.

    DPS/DPS
    DPS/Tank
    DPS/Tank
    DPS/Healer

    Yes, we only usually send a single healer through! The debuff isn't too bad if you can avoid taking more stacks (which is what the tanks do, hense being cleansed). If things are getting bad for the tanks, they just go again later on. No biggy!

    This is a more accurate description of what my guild does, though we usually have a healer go in towards the end since he helps with soaking.

    We 3 heal this fight:
    DPS-Heal
    DPS-Heal
    DPS-Tank
    DPS-Heal
    DPS-Tank

    The black orbs are taken by the people who will go in the challenge phase nex because their corruption will be reset next time they go into this phase...

    10H you get 5 orbs, and not 2. We 3 healed it.
    0:00 Tank 1, DPS 1, and Healer 1
    ~0:20-0:30 DPS 2
    ~0:40-0:50 Dps 3
    ~1 min Healer 2,
    ~1min 20 Tank 2 DPS 4
    ~1 min 50 DPS 5
    Then tanks and healers soak and go in as needed to clear the corruption, stacking 1 person at a time. Normally just end up with 2 people with full corruption, 1 healer that never went in, 1 healer that took the first 50, 40, 30, and 20% corruptions, and 1 tank with the 10% corruption. We try to have the dps going in next grab the corruption, if they already went in, the Tank 2 or Healer 2 will grab it.

    we 3 heal it.
    orb 1 order: healer>tank>healer>healer>tank
    orb 2 order: highest mele DPS>DPS>DPS>DPS>DPS

    Now. The puddles dropped by dead big adds are picked up by tanks only. The last tank sometimes manages to go into orb 2 to purify himself faster if we get DPS queue end quicker than tank/healer one. First one is picked by T1, who then goes to purify himself. The second is picked by me puttin me at 100% corruption. I then wait till all healers are purified while T2 picks up corruption.
    The highest DPS mele that is purified first just stays on boss 100% of the time after being purified to maximize his dmg on the boss. The rest, mostly ranged do switch to adds ASAP.

    The order of corruption pickups:
    DPS1 add -> Tank 1 putting him at 100%. He goes to purify himself after Healer 1.
    DPS2 add -> Tank 2 putting him at 100%. He waits till Healer 2 and 3 are purified (or all DPS).
    DPS3 add -> Tank 1 since he just purified himself. After that he's at 25%.
    DPS 4 add -> Tank 1 - 50% corruption.
    DPS 5 add -> Tank 1 75% corrutpion
    50% boss add -> Tank 1 100%. he does NOT purify himself (I suppose he could for better DPS, though I'm not sure if +-1 min in test realm lost to purify would outweight the DPS loss due to corruption. You might try to send him though)
    40% boss add -> Tank 2 25% corruption
    30% boss add -> Tank 2 50% corruption
    20% boss add -> tank 2 75% corruption
    10% boss add -> tank 2, 100% corruption, boss dead :P

    We never want healers to pick up corruption to not screw up their healing buff when they are purified. We also want them to be purified ASAP for extra healing. Also purified DPS make sure they do not pick up any corruption, even from the mini adds bolts.

    Using this strat on our first week we were pretty close to enrage timer. On 2nd though we did it about 1min before enrage. Just having our best fury warrior 100% on boss was enough.
    When you make the DPS queue make sure you order them by their DPS, you want your highest ones being purified first, while your weaker ones can wait till close to 50% boss HP mark. Make sure people know to save their CDs for 50% mark, and BL then..

    Tanks take the orbs before they go in, healers do it after.

    With 3 healers getting the buff isn't needed (for us).
    This is almost the same way as we do it.
    For the first kill we had:
    healer - dps
    dps - dps
    tank - dps
    tank - dps
    That way you have the best healer buffed 25% and the best multidotting dps too, to avoid getting swamped when second group goes in, and kill the adds fast.
    The dps from 3rd group have to soak an orb, or some of your healers can do that (not the one that got purified). Everything else is taken by tanks.
    We bl after 4rd group is out, since the boss is usually low enough for that by then. We tend first to bl at 40%. yesterday he was at 57 when fourth group was out, but still waited to 40% and killed him

    Can have some multidotters focus on adds, and the more singltarget dpsers focus on boss, to avoid gimping the damage.

    Edit:
    Can bring the adds in second phase close to the boss, and just cleave them down, instead of focusing them. Gives more dps on the boss
