I think it's something to do with the Twitch servers tbh...

A guildy and myself have both been having issues streaming lately, he's from Norway and i'm from the UK. I think we're both using OBS (haven't tried using XSplit).

    Edit.

Actually took a look, and apparently it is TwitchTV that is the current issue.

Couple of twitch servers are broken. I know of the Londons, Amsterdam and Stockholm that give framedrops. I tried Frankfurt, and that seems to be working. If all EU fail, you can swap to US as well, just gives a little more delay on your stream, nothing else.

    edit:

    recent tweet from ‏@TwitchTVSupport
London: Maintenance is scheduled today. No ETA on actual uptime due to tests and such. I expect sometime tomorrow, give or take 52 weeks.

London ingest server offers unreliable service
We are currently working to fix an issue with our London servers. At present, requests to London are being routed to Amsterdam. We suggest pointing straight to Amsterdam or one of our other European ingests for best service during this maintenance. We recommend lowering your bitrate to drop the least frames.

The issue is most likely to do with Twitch... they limit the upload speed ALOT for their "gold members".
Basically if it's busy the max you'll be able to stream is 1 megabit tops, which leaves you with crap quality streams.

Try the same settings you have only on http://hashd.tv

I stream there and it is taking 7,5 Megabit streaming from me and laughs happily.
