I am a returning player that just reactivated my account. I cancelled back in July so that I could complete my Masters program. Now that school is finished, I am looking to get back to raiding and to find a solid guild to do that with.
I am hoping to find an established guild that raids 2 or 3 nights nights per week. Only caveat is that on Tuesdays start after 9pm EST. I am not looking for a certain progression pace but a guild that can move forward and enjoy the game, start to finish. As I stated before, I stopped raiding just as my old guild started Heroic Throne of Thunder. That being said, my current ilvl is 529. I am 2 runestones short of getting my legendary cape which will happen this week. I am running as much SoO as possible to not only get some appropriate gear but also to get time on the tier bosses.
I understand I am a little bit behind but I can guarantee that I can complete with most players of my class. I am very dedicated to being fully prepared for progression and the bosses we may encounter. I fully research bosses strategies from my class perspective and show up ready, on time, everytime.
KoT is a friendly, mature raiding guild currently recruiting a shadow priest for a main raid spot in our 25 man raid.
Our guild is made up of working adults over the age of 30 with families/jobs who wanted to progress through content with people who take pride in playing their class well, while participating in a supportive, respectful raiding atmosphere. Our perspective is that guild raiding should be an fun, social, and organized activity. We have always preferred 25 man raiding because we feel that 25 mans are more immersive and beneficial to the social aspect of raiding.
Our guild has been around since August 2005. We moved to Lightbringer server in September 2012 for a better economy and more recruitment opportunities.
We have a Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday raid schedule, between 7:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m. PST. We're a level 25 guild and currently 9/14 SoO.

Whisperwind Eleven is a lvl 25 Horde guild on the Whisperwind server focused on progressing through content based on raids that go from 9pm to midnight PST.
Founded in February of 2006, WW11 is a progression raiding guild that values a culture of mature, respectful and fun gameplay over server firsts.

When we do it: Raid Schedule
All raids are from 9pm PST to midnight PST: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
We also offer organized guild Flex Raids for Achievements, in 5.4, every Tuesday starting at 11 server.
Why we're different: Key Guild Differentiators

* Culture - We are a group of adults that expect mutual trust and respect from our raiders, sense of humor is a plus! Most of our team is 25+. Our raid schedule is designed for those with careers and kids: 9pm PST to midnight, 3 raids a week

Why we're different (PT2!): Guild Culture
Most of us are hardcore gamers who grew up on Pacman, Quake, Starcraft, Zelda and Mario. Some of us got married, settled down, and are looking for a guild in which we can continue a hardcore approach to gaming on a more limited time schedule.
The guild is an open book. Applicants are welcome to listen in on raids, ask any member for their opinion on the leadership, or simultaneously apply for other guilds. We understand that joining a guild is a big decision and support applicants who do their research to choose the right guild for them.
We are only accepting players of exceptional skill, commitment and cultural fit. If you are all of these things then you will likely have a raid spot available. Whisperwind Eleven has a unique approach to recruitment, we recruit players not gear.
We are a guild of raiders. Before you apply, make sure the following describe you:
1. You think you'll have near 100% attendance.
2. You acquire loot because you want to raid, not the other way around.
3. Given the choice you'd rather show up for progression nights than farming nights because seeing new content is more exciting than farming epics.
4. Theorycrafting is something you think is fun and will make you a better player.
Final Notes
The guild is here for the long-term, and that’s what we’re thinking about during recruitment - Although 85% is the minimum requirement for raiding we require 100% from applicants.

I would like to suggest Sic Finit Noctem of Hyjal as an option for you.
I just recently took a step down from hardcore raiding to join them and they are a great mix of skill and maturity with a laid back setting that allows you to have a real life as well as improving progression.
We are Horde - 10 man.
We raid from 9cst-12cst (7pst-10pst) on Tue/Thu/Mon.
We were 2/13H in ToT (partially held back due to a server transfer to a higher-pop server).
We are currently 10/14 normal and 5% away from a Thok kill.
