Need new video card for wow, currently nvidia geforce GTX 460, PC specs posted

Hi my computer is in dire need of a new V-card for wow so i can zoom all the way out in raid combat and not lag on fps at the pull and random points of high particle effects. Here are my PC specs pasted from Ibuypower.com when i bought it back in 2010. My budget for a new one is around 250 DOLLARS. I'm looking for some good feedback so i can go buy it today from fry's electronics. I'm not just looking for a good card, but one that will for sure work for my specs. <--- my main concern. also my v-card runs around 62 celcius in raid combat, good or bad?

I'd probably wait until the new radeons come out in a couple of weeks and see what the pricing on those is.

So much unneccesary information posted. Next time, try and post a bit more relevant information. I've removed quite a lot of info in the quote, also which currency? 250 quid euro dollars sek dkk etc, I am gonna assume that it's euro and for 250 euro you should afford a gtx 760, you can also get a gtx 660ti, or wait for the new radeons, though most people claim that nvidia's drivers works better with wow. you should possibly also get either 6 or 8 gb or ram, I am currently using 5.5 gb ram with chrome spotify ts and wow running.

Your system does not need an upgrade for wow honestly, you definitely wont notice much difference with a video card upgrade. If anything try and overclock your CPU if you have the proper cooling, wow likes high clock speeds.

well yeah, before looking into a new gpu... u should consider upgrading ur mbo + cpu (if we are talking wow)... as its so cpu bound... even a 5770 would play it at max... if ur looking to play other games though... thats a totally different story

i currently run around 62 degrees celcius in raid combat, more if my fan isnt turned up a bit. I'm wondering if this is too much strain on my video card?

Thats normal temp, most vid cards are safe up to about 90c.

I havent raided in a few months but this post suggests a lot of people are having problems in raids and its most likely not due to their computers:

I wouldn't bother, you would see better results by upgrading your CPU/Memory than your graphics card. A new graphics card on that system won't see much (if any) improvement over what you currently have.
Probably running on a Pentium 4

what you need is more ram
