Not gonna lie Garrosh had a pretty impressive set up to go to war.

Think about all the bosses in SoO from Galakras on. He would have a pretty mean army to conquor with. From firebreathing Galakras, The Iron Juggernaut and Blackfuse leading seige opperations. General Nazgrim leading the foot soldiers with Dark Shamans and Malkorok. Thok and numerous Jinyu, Yongol, and Saurok. Anima Golems, Various breed of Mantid, and Anima Golems and The Paragons of the Klaxxi for R&D and various other operations. Got to admit if he where had a pretty impressive set up for war. Would of been nice to see some what/if situations if we wasnt able to stop him like the 5 mans that came out in DS. or maybe ive been playing civ 5 too much.

We know what would have happened, Stormwind would have been levelled, the rebellion/Alliance leaders killed and Garrosh would have his world. Wrathion stated the Horde's victory was assured until it splintered. Garrosh was on course to defeat The Alliance.

So the Warchief, the person to command, start, and finish WARS, was going to win? We stopped him, why?

So, Wrathion said nothing about the Legion coming because of Garrosh's win? How is that a weakened world? If one side can rule, as well as two, then why is the Alliance needed at all? This is all Magthda Grimtotems fault, she started this downward spiral of Garrosh's.

For the TRUE HORDE, GARROSH'S HORDE!

Too bad this patch has a very poor lore setup.
I mean this is seriously the most crappy lore-patch in MoP. Each boss could've had an awesome background story tied to him/her/it.
But yea Blizz just had to put in the Timeless Isle over decent lore-development.
People who haven't seen the 5.4 cinematic have no idea what the f*ck is going on.

You get the gist of why they're there by reading the dungeon journal. For this raid it's more than self-explanatory.

Then he would have made the mistake of trying to conquer Northrend, and gotten his ass handed to him.

There was a blank scroll which pretty much had this outcome. Garrosh won and decimated the Alliance and Orcs ruled over Azeroth. This however systematically weakened the world and then the Legion came and conquered it easily since it was just Orcs. Either way Garrosh lost.

How does it weaken the world?

If the Alliance can be broken, decimated, and utterly defeated. Then aren't they the "weak link" in the chain? It makes no sense..

People read the dungeon journal for free explanation on how to defeat a boss, they couldn't care less about why that boss is here unless it's thrown right in there careless faces.

Well it was only the Orcish race left but it would take all the races combined might to stand against the Legion. Garrosh and his forces would stand no chance by themselves. Hence why his reign in the Blank Scroll still ended with a lost except this time complete annihilation.

The dungeon journal also tells you briefly about the boss and why they're even there. There brief little bios about them. It's enough to be creative with plus in the case of the Dark Shamans they are in Org outside the raid having a discussion with each other.

Technically speaking, the Legion only lost the first time because the Horde, Alliance, and Night Elves banded together. Even then, they were only able to slow down the Legion until they were able to use the world tree as a magick nuke.

The races might have gotten stronger now, but they will still need everyone to stand a chance. To literally wipe out half of the world's greater powers, would leave it open.

Garrosh would of killed or demilitarized every other race, the Orcs alone wouldn't of been strong enough to win against the Burning Legion.

And what made him get this splinter?
    The horde rebellion?

No matter how many times Garrosh yells "RARRRRR SMASH!!!", the horde would've been weakened severely even if they defeated everybody else, then the legion would swoop in and still kick Garrosh's ass all over Azeroth.

Even if horde > Alliance, horde doesn't equal horde + alliance, simple logic really...

Garrosh himself just didn't have the aura of invincibility that other end bosses had, like Lich King.

I dont know about that, taking the rebellion that we did out of the picture. The stuff he has amassed, spoils, thok, malkrok, iron stars and all the paragons collectively would give the legion a pretty strong advasary. I mean they range from pure battle prowless(?), to genetic agumentation, to kuchongs(tanks), them alone with garrosh at the forefront would make the True Horde nothing to just lol @.

United we stand, individually we fall sort of thing. Garrosh wins and there's not much of an army left to defend the world

Look, I think I understand where your disconnect is.

If the True Horde defeated the rest of the factions of the world, it would be spread out across the entire planet. There would be no more variation and culture, technology and knowledge would stagnate and wither because Garrosh's Orcs don't care about those things if it isn't helping them win a war at the moment. The Legion would arrive, most of the world's forces would be gone and all that would be left is Garrosh's military against a force that could take down several of them simultaneously. All Garrosh could do is yell "For the True Horde!" and die.
