Question Blast Furnace: to MC or not to MC?

I know its not needed to Mind Control but can help however, is it worth it to take away the dps or healing to do this?

Makes p1 super fast = much less healing in p2 so yeah it helps, but not necessary.

It's a welcome luxury on normal, strongly suggested on Heroic, and mandatory on Mythic.
Yrel is the hero the Alliance needs, but not the one it deserves.

There are two MC-able mobs, aren't there? Which one is recommended/mandatory?

Getting the extra bombs in phase one is recommended, getting the bonus damage to elementals in phase 2 is bordering on mandatory (well not really on N/H but it's still SUPER useful).

engineers in p1 for any difficulty will speed up p1 (though unless both sides are doing it its fairly pointless otherwise since you are only as fast as your slowest side)

p2 mcing is only needed on mythic

But the engineers don't drop extra bombs in p1. They have a max of 5 and whatever they don't throw they drop in the sack when they are killed.

fairly sure ur wrong, not sure about n/hc but mythic ur wrong each bag contains 3 bombs and they can throw as many bombs as they want long as they are alive (on a cd ofc)

Our guild has found it smoother on Heroic to skip MC'ing the engineers. Burning them down and just picking up the bombs from the bags the drop is plenty.

Not true; Engineers will continue to throw bombs for as long as they're alive, and the sacks always contain a maximum of 3. We MC in p1, throw 4 bombs, and the Engineers will continue to throw them while they're being killed.

Like most people already said, MCing the engineers in p1 makes it super fast and smooth. If you do it correctly you 'll finish p1 long before 3rd set of operators spawn (so you will only kill those at pull and 1 more set that will spawn).

Also, I'm fairly sure MC doesn't affect the amount of bombs engineers drop after they die.

Did H Furnace last night. Engi's dropped 3 bombs in their sack. Was myself, another rogue and feral druid doing the running. As soon as we all had a bomb, bag despawned
