Is there a certain amount of money you have to spend on the beta to get the mount, or can I just buy a $3.00 two pack and get the mount?

The mount isn't rewarded by buying packs. It is still unclear as to how the mount will be given out as they have decided against giving it to everyone in the beta.

Currently attached (in the data files) to the "Play 3 games in Play Mode" but you don't get it for completing that quest. We don't know yet where it is from
