How is Trooper commando ?

how is trooper commando for leveling and level 55 PVP? any tips would be great returning to swtor on 19th

Leveling i has a BLAST (quite literally too) With Aric your a dps wrecking machine as long as you both stay mid to current lvl gear. I mow through mobs, the Strongs are a bit o a challenge until you get elara(Taris 3rd planet I believe) then your pretty much unstoppable. PVP tour a magnet for all classes. Manndos gunnery at least are turret fighters (unless your plasma then your a bit more mobile) least for me my pvp is limited so not sure how things are currently.

Get Biochem for constant buffs and health packs and IMO your good to go. The story was fun for me but others think its pretty meh

I leveled a Merc BH, which is basically the same thing, all the way to 50 (though not 55, switched to PowerTech). I can tell you that it's super fun, and with a huge gun, you look awesome. You may not do so well in 55 PvP without a good team, though.

Yup. There's a few especially awesome cannons out there, prime for awesome Commando use.

I find my Gunnery Commando lots of fun, I have to admit though I prefer my Arsenal Merc to my gunnery commando...I just prefer the look and feel of it, IMHO missiles > grenades
Levelling is nice, the mobs just dissolve.
In PvP if you can find a place to hide and get left alone you can knock out some serious hurt, I've not done a 4v4 on it yet but I'm already having nightmares about it.

Oh and +1 for the big gun!

Love the commando. Have heals, recastable long duration cc (OP), good durability and the ability to melt everything down with dps. Roll with your big freakin' gun and solo the H2 H4s that you have no business soloing. Kill 'em all and let their gods sort 'em out. It's good fun. The only thing that makes me mental about playing my commando is that in cutscenes the animators sub in a pithy sidearm as your weapon of choice. (WTH?? I just cleared this entire room with my autocannon, and my character pulls out a blaster to threaten someone? What in the what. Sacrilege.) Also love it when my female commando talks to Satele Shan. Listening to Jen Hale talk to herself makes me lol for some reason.

PREACH ON brother PREACH ON!!!! I didnt mind so much when I was lvling but i mean COMEON i whip out mah pea shootah for OPERATIONS too. Big Bad ASS bosses and I whip out this lil toy that cant even get through cloth let alone fully armored TANKS huge WALKERS and the list goes on...........

I have the rotary cannon on my Commando. The full one with the steam effect and hub display. Such a badass cannon.

I think it's a safe bet to say that most people that rolled commando did it for the canon :-). It doesn't hurt either that the armor sets are constantly among the best in terms of looks.

Ehhh...in the Beta (I.E. the big public Beta before release) I rolled a Commando, but after launch I decided to go with Vanguard. For me and my playstyle, I enjoyed the Vanguard much much more. That being said I do have a Merc now (Commando equivalent) and its a really fun class too.

Got a Nice Stormtrooper gear set up with Rakata and the Hazmat helm love the look refuse to ever change it(man that does get spensive though) Im trying REALLYYYYYYY hard to save up for the Black/Black dye kit I want that Dark Trooper look of Dark Forces 1

yeah armor looks great after about 30-ish although you get the first decent helmet at 39, the hoth commendation one
imo of course, I know some people like the one that is long or the one with the visor like in the trailers ^^

I went Vanguard on my trooper too...my BH is the Commando equivalent though, I just like missles more than grenades.
