    He got Kamehameha'd by thrall.

Technically, they lost their powers because they poured them into the Dragon Soul.

I thought we tickled and tickled his feet until he split his sides laughing.

its important to note that Thrall and the aspects were charging up their power together into the dragon soul and fired it into Deathwing. They threw their nature as Aspects into the beam and disintegrated him. This also served their purpose as aspects to stop the Twilight wrought end times. We were beating him back and stopping him from countering this and using the energies of the maelstrom to create another cataclysm

Also the Dragon Soul is not Deus Ex Machina. Its Special McGuffin. Deus Ex Machina is something completely else and occurs out of nowhere with no previous build up. The Dragon Soul has always been part and parcel of Deathwings plot and story. Its deeply ironic that a lot of his problems were caused by it all throughout his evil history and that he was eventually vaporized by it.

Here are all the cinematics in a row, that might give a nice impression too

The Deus Ex Machina is us flying along side him on the Skyfire. He could easily just swat it out of the sky and then go about his merry way. But "Something" keeps him from finishing us off when he has the chance. Just like "Something" kept him from destroying stormwind when he had the chance.

Something kept somethinging Deathwing. And until Blizzard tell us what "something" is. Then "Something" is Deus Ex Machina.

Technically, in the end movie it is exacly as he said, if they lost their powers due to DS, they wouldnt be able to assist us in final fight, since they charged it before. But if you have some other source plz, do share.

Basicly a bunch of people poked at him for 15 minutes, then our Disc got the Killing Blow with a well timed smite. There was loot and some cake.

Tenjen is right about the Dragon Soul, but that 'Something' to what you're referring is not Deus ex Machina either, it's just bad writing.
Now, if later in lore they decide to tell us that something indeed kept DW at bay, then by all means you're right on this one.

No, literally, at the beginning Alliance quest-line for Vash, the soldiers standing at the docks waiting for the boat talking, talking about the mysteriousness of how Death Wing just stood there, could have destroyed Stormwind but didn't. Setting up the magical plot device that "Deathwing can destroy whatever he wants... But doesn't... for some reason." Which essentially puts the "Epic Failure" Debuff on Deathwing. "Epic Failure: Deathwing can't do anything right."

So even if it's not Deus Ex MAchina, yeah, it's not bad writing. It's terribad writing.

You're right, I had forgot about that dialogue.
It was so.. vague that I didn't give much thought to it.

Ah also forgot to mention Thrall shot him once in the side, and we jumped on him from an airship to rip his plates outs from his back, then thrall shot him proper, knocking him into the maelstrom.

In none awesome: Used the dues ex machina, Dragon Soul, to blow him away after charging it with the Aspects powers
Dragon Soul wasn't Deus ex machina, that stuff was set up for a long time.

First he showed us what will happen in a timeline where we lose, then he took us to one where some random night elves showed up, beat up azsharas guards and took the dragon soul and right now that timeline is probably under the rule of the legion. Of course nozdormu probably wouldnt have done so unless he picked a timeline where that was the consequence anyway regardless of his actions. Thats how he rolls after all.
DUDE, What if like we aren't the "Prime" timeline, and the Timeline of the other Dragon Soul where we stole it from, IS the "prime" one, and we are just moving along our timeline to our Fault.

and and a new expansion is we basically fight out of our timeline into theirs to make ourselves the "Prime" timeline.

I am way to high for this shit.

Can't happen. At the end of the fight against Deathwing, if you get Nozdormu's RP, you can hear him stating that he's putting in everything he has to make sure that this event, Deathwing's demise, is set and unchangeable in all timelines. So even if we are not the prime timeline, we won't ever be able to reach the outcome of the Endtime dungeon.

He turned into sparkles from the light of day. You see, in reality, Deathwing was a vampire-fairy, just like Edward.

But now serious, here you go:
