Long time gone - still haven't fixed Dispersion?

Came back to PvP this season since whatever the last season in Cata was.

Shocked to see they still haven't fixed Dispersion. The tooltip states "Clears all snare and movement impairing effects when cast, and makes you immune to them while dispersed."

It clears stuff on you when cast, but it sure doesn't make you immune to them after the cast. You still get all kinds of Slowed, Trapped, Gripped... you name it and it's on you.

Really poor since this is Shadow's only real escape mechanism -- and it doesn't allow you to escape. And no, I don't play Disc so you can leave those suggestions out.

You don't get slowed its freedom works fine, trapped? thats a cc, gripped? thats not a slow or root.... It sounds like you think it should be a moving iceblock...

No, those are all "movement impairing effects." You are supposed to be immune to them -- meaning they shouldn't land on you at all.

Movement impairing effects are slows or roots.

A knockback (or death grip -ie, forced move) is not the same as a movement impairing effect. Your movement is not impaired, you've just been relocated.

Nope. In the game's vernacular "movement impairing effects" are slows and roots - that's it. Working as intended.

Touch of death hits your for your entire health pool--Dispersion 90% damage reduction, touch of death only useable below 10%.

You're right, nothing changes. Players don't understand terminology or read tooltips/ forum threads.

this doesnt even matter, touch of death is an insta-kill. nothing outside of DS and iceblock will protect you from it. it just shows your full health in damage just to show a number value that makes sense. this is why abilities that reduces dmg taken by a % never lower TOD dmg(including dispersion)

Intervene does...Also Guardian Spirit does. I am not sure about cheat death, and ToK will kill the monk, but I do hear it does leave a nasty dot.

Intervene won't stop the dmg it will just kill the warrior lol. Cheat death's like Guardian Spirit cheat death stop it those are killing blow stoppers tok dmg sucks it gets reduced twice by res and that is working as intended.

But the person who is the target does not die, I know the warrior dies. Also does ToD crit? What happens if you use Dampen harm or roar of sacrifice?

It doesn't crit and Dampen harm won't do anything because it ignores dmg reductions.

SP is the new ele shaman. At least in 2s, mostly also in 3s...."LOL there is an SP, muahhahah. lets go beat the shit out of him"

    Gameplay of a SP:

SWP- Run- Heal-Run-heal-Fear- Run- Heal-Run-heal-Dispersion- SWP- Run- heal- Run- heal- Fear-Run- Heal-Run-heal-SWP.

    Health Regen enemy > SWP

    GG

I admit with 3 shadow orbs up the burst is sick, but until you have 3 orbs from casts...and even then most classes will have major cd so they shit on the burst...

At this point go back to the running part
