As the title says, what's the most popular or which recipe originates from your hometown. I'll start with mine:
Kapsalon is a Dutch food item consisting of fries, topped with döner or shawarma meat, grilled with a layer of Gouda cheese until melted and then subsequently covered with a layer of dressed salad greens. The dish is often served with garlic sauce and sambal. Kapsalon is quite high in calories, with each serving containing approximately 1800 kcal.[1] The term kapsalon literally means, "barbershop" in Dutch, alluding to one of the inventors of the dish.[2]
The dish was conceived in 2003 by Nathaniël Gomes, a Cape Verdian hairdresser in Rotterdam who in collaboration with the neighboring shawarma store "El Aviva" combined all his favorite ingredients into one dish.[3] The dish has since spread around the Netherlands into Belgium[4] and is commonly found in restaurants serving shawarmas.

Home city? My "city" is too small to have invented anything ever.
I'm going statewide...and I'd say the biggest culinary invention to come out of Utah is probably fry sauce.

My town is certainly too small to have brought any cultural culinary legends to the table, and my state as a whole? Statewise - Iowa, as far as I know, isn't really famous for a specific dish in general, but rather providing ingredients for everybody to make great food. Corn, beans, meat, milk, etc.

Well my city hasn't produced any unique food, but it has produced a lot of famous music artists, and music is food for the soul?
