My favorite part from these videos is that they're shouting at the RCMP that "elders and children are here!" Good ol' Human Shield doctrine...stay classy Mi'kmaqs.

Was pretty much talked about on all the radio stations and a majority callign in were in favor / showed suport.

Should be noted the protest in MTL this morning was due to the NB tribe asking them to help get more attention on the subject and have more people looking at it.

Apparently you didn't read the part I was quoting. The support for the previous Idle no more.

Again, peaceful protest fine, but when you bring guns and fire bombs to a "peaceful protest" don't claim you're the victims.

I am also confused as to why they don't protest the coal industry which has done far more damage to the environment.
Because they get their free subsidized power for their reserve from Coal energy. That would interfere with their "customs and traditions..."

If you actually cared about the environment, you would not be endorsing fracking.

Why? Because of nebulous uncorroborated claims? NGL is arguably the best solution for energy right now when Hydro and Nuclear aren't an option and Fracking poses minimal risk, if any at all, when done properly. Outlier cases are not the norm...that's why they're called outliers.

How do you prupose some area gets energy? You can take the province just above NB, Quebec, they are literally 90% hydro energy and yet back in the 60s-70s and even sometimes now big DAM construction have/had rally against them. What do you want no energy for nobody ever? Green energy is a lie, hydro electricity is considered one of the cleanest and let me tell you building a giant half a kilometer dam is not green at all. Quebec has the advantage in energy compared to NB, huge powerful streams of rivers scattered across the north of Canada to build huge dams. NB got no such a thing.

Its like the rallies against nuclear in france.... its either that or gaz/coal. Its a small piece of land on the continent, where do they build dam? Where do these millions of people get their electricity?

When most of the environmentalist internet users type, they should wonder where the hell the electricity you are using right now comes from and if that possibility of production is not location/opportunity based.

Glad, fracking is prohibited in germany.
But it's not bad to see, that there are some people overseas, that don't agree with laws built purely on lobbying, too.
Not that the situation is any better here - the cases just vary.
