Also, I dislike bringing this up but insulting someone based on a random whim that you seem to think everyone that disagrees with you is a noob I would simply like to educate you that there are a lot of top end locks that post here, as for myself I am rather quite comfortable with my knowledge of end game arena play as I've been glad several times in the past, so please do not bring up random crap about teaching me a few new things , I could probably teach you some.
As for the argument we are talking about, again this is veering off topic everytime someone wants to make it personal about some class, we aren't talking about a single class here, it's about CC as a whole, warlock CC can be interrupted with conventional means, you are telling me you can stun that hunter before he traps, sure you can but you are blowing that stun on a hunter instead of a healer , the whole point of this instant CC bullshit is that healers can get locked down for quite a while, it is not as severe to CC some non healers these days since most people have plenty of CC breakers, not to mention the healer can dispel.
The problem is that healers can get locked down in CCs, fear has many ways of being removed over the years as it has been constantly looked upon as an OP CC ability and I do agree it was, and please do not compare our fear with warriors shout, warriors shout seems to be bugged and rarely breaks upon damage after a warriors unloads into it.
Second I'd like to say that all warlock CCs are still the exact same CCs we've had for previous expansions, shadowfury/ howl / fear/ silence were all abilities we've had in the past, we even lost coil now which is a choice between Sfury and itself.
Shadowfury into fear is a viable way of stopping a healer from going Los yes, but do remember that the castable fear is still castable and if I'm using the shadowfury to lock the healer instead of using it to peel , the damage dealer should be aware and use an interrupt when shadowfury is cast on the healer , if that is the argument of " stun the hunter before he traps" it is much easier to use an interrupt on the lock casting that ability rather than blowing a stun on a hunter to stop a trap, sure you can "take " traps but in a more conventional sense it is much harder to avoid instant CC than it is to avoid castable CC, you said you play a Hpaladin , you have a lot of CC now in MOP in comparison to some other healers,we can sit here and argue that paladins having fear is OP, or that paladins have too much CC in general, but fear and blinding light have cast times and can be interrupts / avoided, so you see we are back to square one arguing about classes that we feel annoy the class that we play, think about CC in general instead if every single CC had a cast time, wouldn't it be much better for pvp as a whole since there is room for counter play instead ?
The evolution of CC was in fact affected by the amount of interrupts and uptime some melee classes have, add to that the amount of burst people can do these days as well as the amount of defensive cds/ passive healing effects, and u can find that in general it is hard to cast anything, so the entire meta of pvp has shifted towards instant casts instead of casting, which is the core of the problem itself.
