Blizzard All-Stars Becomes Heroes of the Storm

People couldn't read the Patent license form and notice it said NOTHING about game packs with included manuals; which all WoW, SC, Diablo games and xpacs are registered under.
Instead it said downloaded from primary web base (or something similar). Those who assumed it would be an WoW xpac didn't seem to notice that little wording difference.
I expected this would be the case for All-Stars. Not bad. I'll enjoy playing it I'm sure.

and they dont have an effect because they literally cant, they dont own enough of the company to make decisions. they cant appoint board members, they cant force them to do anything. they get a piece of the pie after its done baking and thats it unless they try to buy more and i dont see kotick selling his shares when activision blizzard is one of the most profitable game companies in the world.

the only thing tencent is doing is helping them set up call of duty in china because they are a chinese company

It's an animated cartoon by a popular Blizzard community artist. It's not an official launch trailer, it's a trailer about the re-branding of the name. It's very tongue-in-cheek, and has to be, considering all the drama that went into the name of this game, which started as Blizzard DOTA, went into multiple lawsuits against Valve, etc.

Blizzard never did any deal with Activision. Vivendi did. Vivendi is now gone... and the former Activision group is now in control of the entire company.

Everyone knows how Activision as a publisher has been treating their developer companies for the past years. Thats not going to change. Legally - Blizzard as a company has no say in their own future. Thats just a fact.

Its still a very cheap video for BLizzard to announchea new name on their title. Either they are forced into doing their Dota low profile by the new shareholders (that own LOL) or they are just trying to fool players. Again - I can not believe that Blizzard is releasing such low quality video to build hype for their next big thing.

This is not a demonstration of the artstyle at all of the game, this Blizzard having fun with an announcement. Not every game needs to be announced with million dollar cgi master pieces. Heroes of the Storm has always been designed a lower profile game much like Hearthstone (that game did not have a huge cgi launch trailer, it had a video made up of stills). You are grasping at straws now to try to support an argument that others have already punched numerous holes in.

Meh, the free to play model sucks. It didn't work well with HoN and it doesn't work well with Dota, the reason being that there's no penalty to breaking the rules or being an overall douchebag. Oh no, they banned his account, he already has 5 other accounts ready to go since they don't cost anything...

But it will most likely be a free to play with an in-game store where you can buy cosmetic stuff, just like the other ones.

I really have no confidence in Blizzards ability to be successful in the MOBA area however, but it would be nice if they proved me wrong.

You have played WoW right? You can't run LFR without running into 4-5 assholes. Nothing ever happens to them. Don't know why f2p would make it worse.
